This power cord is NOT compatible with the Bose Companion Series II. After receiving the cord, I tried it out immediately. It did not work. It was a loose fit and would not power up my speakers

This works for my Bose, but plug into speaker has a lot of play.
The connection has more play than it should, but it does work.

Great replacement
One of our dogs chewed through the original adapter for my wife's PC speakers years ago when he was a wild puppy and I managed a repair, but I decided to replace the adapter after encountering some intermittent power problems. This unit fit the bill perfectly and the speakers work great. No more wonky electric tape connection.

My very young cat chewed my original cord!
Ok, that is unusual but so far she had chewed a landline cord twice and my wifi connection twice. Then I was getting ready to watch an important instructional video and no sound...she had chewed that wire as well! I ran to Best Buy but they don't sell replacement cords so I was going to have to buy a new set of basic speakers for $100. So I called BOSE and they could replace the adapter cord for nearly $40. She gave me the proper specs, though, and I found this cord on Amazon for twelve bucks and VOILA, I have working speakers again. Oh, and my home office door is now closed, the room is cat-free and the wires are safe!
