The right amount of robot
Our floors are much cleaner now that we run this machine every few days. Because we have it, we are mindful of cords, cat toys and other items on the floor that could tangle it up, so its presence also kind of enforces a level of tidiness. This machine does not learn quickly, it is not using satellites and cameras to map the shifting topography of our home, and I am happy with that. What it does is wander from room to room in an apparently random fashion, and it always finds dirt. It eventually seems to go over the entire floor. We have two cats who find it loud and unpleasant, but also fascinating. They stalk it from covert locations, calculating the balance of the predator/prey relationship. Someday, they may attack it, but if that happens, I think the Roomba will survive.Cons:Somewhat loud - It is as loud as a normal vacuum cleanerNeeds supervision - It can't be left running home alone, because it gets stuck under furniture from time to time. It sometimes makes mistakes that could endanger its life. I block it from entering areas where it could fall off of a cliff, because in spite of the cliff detection feature, I think it might very well fall off a cliff if given the chance.Only one phone allowed - The phone app seems to allow for only one phone per user, so only one member of the household can command the vacuum from the phone app; not a big deal for me because I just push the button on the top of the Roomba and it takes off.Pros: It vacuums the house frequently. I am never going to do that.It has the work quality of maybe a ten year old who was asked to vacuum the house--but unlike a ten year old, it is persistent. The suction is good, it gets diirt out of deep rugs and it does well in the corners. It is able to get over thresholds and it is fine around our cat dishes- pushes them a little bit but then backs away.

Free my hands and back
I was hesitating when I purchase this Y0110 model, seems like a lot of reviews saying it did not work out of the box. I still decided to give it a try, since it was $100 cheaper compare to other brands during Prime Big Day. This is my third iRobot, I had a 830, currently using a 6 series, and got very excited to see this Y0110 vacuum with mop.SETUP:Upon receiving, the robot came with full battery, I didn't need to charge it before use, but do require to sat on the base for app setup. Since I'm already a iRobot App user for my 6 series, setting up the Y0110 was fairly easy, basically just add a device, pressing couple button and let it sync, then it's ready to go.RUNNING AND MAPPING:This model starts with a straight line to the end of the wall, then make a perfect U-turn, make another straight line right back. it does cover every inch when it's in an open area. I really like that, compare to Y0110, my 6 series is like in a dumb/blind mode, it will make a angle turn whenever it hits the wall or object, therefore it's always zig zagging. Y0110 seem like knowing what direction it's going, even when it his object, it will slowly adjust itself to go back to it's original direction to make straight line. and at the end of each job, you will receive a map in the app, telling you the area it covered. But the map can be confusing sometime, maybe because I do pick up the robot and let it run at certain area one more round as needed, this might mess up the mapping.CLEANESS:I think the end result of mopping is good enough. There are always some tough stains here and there, I just need to give it a handwipe if I want it to be perfect, but I don't blame the robot. I tried mopping with water only, and with iRobot hardwood floor cleaning solution. Both options looks the same to me, but I personally prefer to use cleaning solution, just to hope it will sanitize better. Cleaning solution does make the house smells cleaner =PThe vacuum part, It does the job as it's expected. I use this robot mainly for kitchen and living room. I have a dog and a kid in the household. So I do need it to pick up small crumbs before it mops over it. and so far, the concept works out perfectly. Not sure if this model works with barrier, can not find information regarding this.If iRobot customer service sees my review, maybe can help to answer this question:)

It is decent for the price
I purchaed this vaccuum during Prime Days because I wanted to get a robot vaccuum for a decent price. I live in an 800 sq. ft. apartment which I would vaccuum about once a month because I don't track in much dirt. It was easy to setup and connected to my Android phone app just fine. I let it charge and started it up. It is louder than I thought it would be, but still much quieter than a traditional vaccuum. After reading the instructions, I realized that there was no way to "train" it or block off certain rooms or areas. That was my fault in my assumption that all robot vaccuums had that feature. It does run into objects a lot and doesn't have a good algorithm to change direction. It seems to go the same way and repeatedly bump into objects and then goes the same way. It gets stuck very easily as well. I have a thin rug in my kitchen and one of the edges is kind of bent up and it gets caught on that every time so I have to pick up the rug. It does clean well and I run it once a week and am amazed about how much dust and dirt accumulates in that time period. Also, even though I have it scheduled in the app, sometimes it starts early which is weird. Overall for $160 it is a decent product that saves me having to vaccuum by hand.
