Q: About how long does the humidifier run before needing to be refilled (if run at max humidity)?

I got approx. 8.5 hrs of humidity using the included 500 ml plastic *bottle. By substituting a larger 1 qt plastic soda bottle for it instead, I got about 19 total hours of humidification before it + the reservoir was empty. *Note: the reservoir requires approx. 125 ml water itself before it's filled, and will run approx. 1.5 hours until it is then empty.

Q: does the humidifier stay on or can i turn it off?

Humidifier can be turned on and off at user discretion.

Q: is this heater safe to use indoors? And more importantly, is it safe to place this on a wooden platform (like my night table)?
