All Good Stuff
Mini survival "Tin". Does not have the usual whistle, safety pins, snare wire, or signal mirror (use the lid as a signal mirror). One of the best tins for fire starting. Sturdy one piece mini knife. Basic; cut, scrape, insect bite, first aid supplies. Metal punch card with fishing hooks, spear points, and other useful metal bits. No room for additions, (except) add some mono or light woven fishing line. If a fire will save you, this is a good choice. If there are fish, you may be able to catch, spear, or snag, one with this kit. I would purchase a second tin, box, or dry bag, and make an accessory kit. Put in it: emergency poncho, survival blanket, emergency tent tube, and/or waterproof bivouac bag. Water purification tablets, maybe snare wire, a few small fishing lures, a few Tylenol, or ibuprofen, parachute cord, an ounce of cocoa butter, maybe a survival food bar. Traveling away from civilization, pack your two tins, strap on a real hunting knife, bring your headlamp for light, and do not forget a full refillable water bottle. If you are still not satisfied; you could sling a rifle over your shoulder, but a Personal Locator Beacon, is smaller and lighter. Loss of body heat, intense sun, and/or dehydration will put you out of action before anything else, (except maybe a serious injury). Mini kits (tins) are for totally unplanned survival situations. If your intention is to head into the outback, take a backpack (or sled) stocked with all the provisions you know you will need. Even then, this is a capable fire starting set (or backup set).

Excellent survival kit in a compact and light format
I teach Wilderness Survival Merit Badge to Scouts, and this kit checks all of the boxes on what a kit needs to have. It's very complete, contains high-quality items, and fits together in a compact and light carrying case. The only drawbacks I feel are that having a hinged lid on the metal box would help to keep it closed better, but that's more of a personal preference. I did also add 5-6 strike anywhere matches (coated in paraffin wax) to the contents of this kit.

Great with swapping some gear out
Great little survival kit. Will 100 percent be ordering more. Few notes, however. I instantly threw out the little compass, saw, and the knife and holster. The knife is NOT sharp and the edge was seriously dinged after trying to make wood shavings. I never have luck with either those little compasses or wire saws, so those were thrown in the trash immediately. I replaced the knife with a small Swiss army knife. I also added a small pencil sharpener (Great way to make wood shavings and also a make-do fork). Overall a great survival kit and will be ordering more

Very complete package with a small form factor
This kit is very well thought out and is the perfect form factor to earn a place in any backpack. All of the basics are covered and no corners were cut in what was included. Quality items are very much appreciated and I feel like this was an incredible deal all around.
