Replacement Genuine New FHD 40 pin LCD Touch Screen Digitizer Laptop for Lenovo Thinkpad T490 T490s T495 T495s 01YN150 01YN152 01YN153

There seems to be some mixed reviews for this product but so far after installing the screen it is working as it should. Replaced screen in Lenovo T490 which that process of replacement is a total PITA. Laptop manufacturers including Lenovo seem to just keep making it more difficult to replace laptop parts. There are literally no screws to remove in order to replace the screen. You have to pry the trim off and hope you do not break any plastic fastening tabs or the trim itself in the process. To make the process even more enjoyable they use double sided adhesive as well to increase the chances you will break something in the process. In order to put it back together I ended up having to run out and obtain some double sided tape for the bottom portion of the laptop screen trim. I would suggest anyone attempting this have some double sided tape on hand before starting the process.

The media could not be loaded. This worked perfectly. For some tips, I used a triangular plastic thin pry tool. There are adhesives at the top right and left corners of the display. Please don't try to pry hard at the corners of the display frame. You know your prying wrong if your pry tool is below the aluminum foil at the corners. You can work your way from the top first and be careful near the camera as well because there is also adhesive there as well. Your pry tool should be above the camera or between the plastic frame and the camera, not behind the camera. Once you get the top frame unclipped, move your pry tool down the sides. Don't pull. There is adhesive at the bottom of the screen, so slowly pry from the inner side of the plastic frame. Don't damage the ribbon when you remove the broken screen. There is also a clip to hold the connector. To remove the clip, use anything with a pointy tip and pull one side outwards at a time. Once you remove it, then you can pull the ribbon connector off. I tested it, and the touchscreen worked perfectly. No issues.

I bought this product, and finally got it installed. My computer read this item as part number LEN40A9, and the touch screen does not work. Screen works.

I can’t vouch for the other experiences here, but my screen arrived next day and worked perfectly. The touch screen and display are like brand new. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

I researched the make and model of the laptop and purchased the correct one. i will have to buy another screen to see whats going on . the original screen was cracked but still booted up (unfortunately i tossed it out during replacement) this one i can not even boot the laptop . will have to toss out as well wont bother with return . havent been able to work remotely because of this .

The screen fit my Lenovo T490 perfectly. Even though it says otherwise, the touch screen didn't work.🙁
