This is EXACTLY what I was looking for.
It was so hard to find a proper safety cutting ruler here on Amazon. Either the stainless steel ruler was flat or the safety ruler was made of aluminum. If you are looking for a GOOD stainless steel safety cutting ruler like I was, you can look no further. This delivered and was worth EVER penny I spent on it.The pros and cons are as follows - I was a little worried with the "M" design that it would "squish flat" if I pushed down too hard while I was making a cut. No worries there, it's very strong and rigid. Even pushing it down with the flat of my hand won't make the middle touch the tabletop. The edges are even and not sharp. The corners do have a point to them but are not sharp either. Overall, very good quality.A side note too about the shipping. This does come from the UK and came to me 7 days after ordering it. Not a bad time for going across the ocean. I hope with the Brexit mess, this item will continue to be shipped out of the UK. It came in a folded over Manila shipping envelope. However, the points of 2 of the corners had punctured through the packaging. If they had turned the ruler over on its back, it would have had 3 layers to go through instead of 1. However, as you can see in the picture, the corners were not bent so I did not take off a star for it.I am very happy with this and I am sure you will be too.

No more cut fingers
I purchased to protect my fingers from utility knife blade. Though not cork backed, it does not slip when cutting leather.

Fast delivery
Ordered on 5/22, received on 6/2 which very good considering it shipped from the UK and had to clear customs on both ends. The ruler is well designed for safe cutting but the manufacturing and inspection could be better. I had to take a stone to it to clean up some edge damage caused by fouling in the stamping and/or forming machinery and smooth the corners which would have dug into the leather I was cutting. I still want to polish the edge better so my knives will slide along smoothly.
