I had one of these previously, it was unfortunately stolen during a robbery at my previous home. I have just since now gotten around to getting a new one. I'd forgotten how good it was so thought it was time to leave it a review it deserves.For the record however, this mic is vastly improved when going into your mic settings in windows and setting it to a value lower than 60%. This vastly improves the overall audio quality and seems to cut the interference. I'm not audio engineer so I'm not sure why this is, but it does work.I use the mic for recording vocals and micing and amp for recording guitar. For this purpose is works very well, provided you have some knowledge about how to correctly mic an amp. Some time spent on Google or YouTube will help you out there. This mic works very well with both audacity, and ableton. Audacity recognises the mic immediately and recording is simple and quick, with Ableton you need to tell it and set it up with drivers etc. Again. Google or YouTube is your friend here however I don't feel as though it would take more than 5 minutes to figure it out yourself if you are familiar with ableton.The mic itself has a great build quality, with the small stand and filter that come with it feeling very high quality for the price point. I did not have any quality issues with my previous one after having and using it for over a year. I don't forsee any issues arising with this one either. It being USB-C is a nice bonus for beginners who may not want to shell out for a scarlet and a midi microphone, cable etc.I know some people are probably looking at this for use with streaming. I don't see why it wouldnt be a great choice for that, but you might consider the fact that you will likely need to buy an arm mount to hold it for you as the tripod is small and will likely take up valuable desk space.If you're still wondering if you want this, I'd say you can't go wrong.

Bought for webinars. Good quality sound vs built in or headset mics. Easy to set up. Recognized easily by PC or Mac, Zoom and Teams. Good value. Even better it packs away quickly into its storage/delivery box, until next use. Congrats to Tonormic.com ! Only thing that could be improved IMHO would inclusion of a USB-C cable/adapter, but that is hardly big cheese (the Mic is USB-C, but the cable is USB-C to -A)...

Great mic for podcasts. Not the best sound but with some tweaks its ok.

I needed a professional sounding mic to do a few voiceovers on some videos that I am putting together and I toyed with the idea of some of the more expensive ones such as a Shure or Rode, but they were really expensive for someone dipping their toe into this arena so I found this cheaper alternative and went for it as it was worth a punt being 1/4 the cost of the others I was looking at.I set it up in a matter of minutes and it now works perfect on my Windows 11 PC. I can even use it for Teams calls and it does not suffer from feedback (which I was fully expecting it to do) despite me having large monitor speakers on my PC.The build quality is excellent and the sound quality isn't half bad either. I have noticed that the best clarity comes from speaking about 15cm from the mic and in a hushed tone as it picks up really well. Any further away from the mic and some echo is heard from the room acoustics unless you have a very well sound damped area to use it.

After reading so much positive reviews about this mic I decided to take the plunge given it is so cheap. Here is my 8 months in review.Is it amazing? No. Is it absolutely terrible? Neither. It's somewhere in between. For streaming and podcasting it probably is perfect. For recording music... Not so much. Considering the price, the sound is decent enough on spoken word. So if you're looking for a very cheap first mic to do meetings or streaming then this might well be the perfect fit. For more advanced tasks like recording vocals and instruments then I'd steer clear and probably invest a bit more money.I specifically bought it for music and recording demos on the go on my iPad when I don't have access to my studio desktop. Since I already own two studio mics I could easily compare it to the sound of my SM58. It does actually work great with the iPad without any power supply, so that could make it great for podcasting on the go. But after nearly a year of trying to integrate it in my own workflow I have to say it just didn't cut it. The mic has to two major dealbreakers for me. 1 is that if the mic gain is anything above 60% it is horribly saturated and peaky... Which just so happens is its default setting. And even then, when putting the gain much lower the mic somehow still clips and saturates the incoming audio when you're up close. Even whispering close enough to the mic can trigger some distortion. This is really bad for close micing vocals, which considering the price range of this mic would be a typical use in untreated bedroom studios. 2 is that the sound is lacking a LOT of low end and mids, which can make it great for certain voices and spoken word maybe, but unusable in my case. Especially on acoustic guitars, this mic sounds tinny and harsh. Shame.Of course I didn't expect it to stand up to the SM58 at this price, but it honestly just doesn't even come anywhere close, let alone compared to higher budget mics, whether USB or XLR.All that being said, for online meetings and streaming this definitely would be a step up from your in built phone or laptop mic if you're on a very small budget. If you have an extra £30 to £60 to spare though I'd recommend looking into slightly more expensive mics.
