Is there an expiration date on this package or cartridge?

Toner cartridges have no expiration date. You can find a date on the package, but it is the date of manufacture (and is essentially white on white, so very hard to spot). The first two figures appear to be the day, the next two the year, next two the month, and final two the day again. Thus my recently arrived box (from Office Depot, not Amazon) says 20140520 which means May 20, 2014.

Hi, is this the original toner or just a refurbished one?

The page for this item specifically states it is a *new*, *original* HP toner cartridge. It had better be just that, and not a knock off, especially for 59.70. The knock offs are generally under 20.00.

With the bad rating are you rating HP original or just the knock off as this got the same rating as the others.

What??? Don't know what you are talking about. I rated nothing bad; only said while it was still in the sealed (HP) bag, it did not have the original box - which did not really matter.

I just placed a new hp 12a (q2612a) in my printer and all the pages print black;previous cartridge works fine same model ;never had this issure before

Sorry I cannot help, my experience with this cartridge is limited but always have had a good result. Maybe it is defective?
