A Year In The Wildwood: Explore The Wildwood Tarot

This is way better than the actual guidebook to the Wildwood Tarot, which is useless. I have never really gained much insight at all from that guidebook, it actually made me feel kind of cheated. Alison Cross has provided us with a real guidebook to the Wildwood Tarot.The formatting is not as terrible as some of the reviewers suggested.I would have liked more detail on each of the cards, since each entry is pretty short, but even those short entries are way more insightful than the official guidebook. I'm glad I bought this book.

This book is a good companion for the Wildwood Tarot deck/book, but it's only a kindle book which is poorly formatted.Will this book ever be available as a PDF or a paper book?

If you want an expert's opinion on one amazing deck, get this book. Cross is the past chairwoman of the Tarot of the British Isles. That alone gives her credibility. Add to that her amazing knowledge of Tarot in general and you have an expert you can trust.She's worked with  The Wildwood Tarot: Wherein Wisdom Resides  in a way that really speaks to me as a fellow Tarot reader. I appreciated her personal stories that allowed me to go a bit deeper into this deck.The Wildwood Tarot needs to be studied. There are nuances to this deck that deserve to be experienced. Cross delivers a powerful companion to an amazing deck. I highly recommend this book (and this deck.)

I was absolutely thrilled to hear that Alison Cross had taken her work on the Wildwood Tarot and turned it into an e-book. A Year In The Wildwood contains all of the entries Alison wrote for the Wildwood Tarot’s Facebook page. With humor and style, she takes us through a year-long journey through the cards.The technical information presented here, along with suggestions on how to use it, are invaluable. Those already working with this deck will appreciate it, and those who do not have this deck yet will more than likely want to purchase it to work with.At the end of the book Appendix I lists each card in the deck, and the dates they are activated. Appendix II lists Moon and Sun cycle exercises, and is followed by a list of useful resources.Alison Cross has a knack for writing, for looking into the heart of things. She also has an innate sense of humor that anyone who follows her blog will understand. She has made this book a valuable resource that stands on its own feet.

Wonderful exploration of the Wildwood Tarot and gives great insight into that card deck and also offers some fine hints on deepening your own relationship with your favorite deck. Foreword by John Matthews, one of the co-creators of the Wildwood Tarot and one of my favorite British esotericists for his writing and his wide range of interests.

Good to read. But poorly formatted, lacking internal links, and inconsistent from other sources. It feels highly underdeveloped. I love the deck but really regret the purchase of this product

I was having trouble understanding the deck until I bought this book! A must have companion to dive deeper and really get to the true meaning.

A worthy companion to my favourite set of Tarot cards. I sets them firmly in a yearly cycle that demonstrates their overall coherence. A lovely read into the bargain. Recommended to anyone who uses The Wildwood Tarot.
