Installed in a Ford Expedition SUV (modifications req'd)
I don't drive a Tacoma but this looked like a good product so I decided to buy it and make it fit in my large SUV (Ford Expedition). I knew it wouldn't be simple, but I figured I could make it work. There were two issues I had to overcome for my installation: (1) My vehicle has no grab handles like the Tacoma does and (2) my vehicle is wider than the Tacoma. My approach was to utilize the seat belt mounts above the 3rd row of seating in my SUV. My 3rd row never has human occupants so I didn't mind removing the seat belts. I used the OEM seat belt bracket bolt because seat belt parts always attach very securely to the frame of the car. I held the molle panel in place on the ceiling approximately where I wanted it, and then took a bunch of measurements to assess the distance between the seat belt mounts and the tabs on the molle panel. After some trial and error I was able to fabricate some brackets to "bridge the gap" between the molle panel tabs and the SUV's seat belt bracket. As the photos show, the molle panel is bolted to my custom-built mounts, and then those mounts screw securely into the seat belt bracket. The point of this review is to demonstrate that if you're reasonably creative, mechanically-capable, and patient, this can likely fit a wide range of vehicles it was not designed for. Is my install as clean as the plug-and-play installation in a Tacoma? Definitely not. But the end result is very solid and I'm very happy to have this molle panel because nobody makes one of these for my vehicle. The molle panel itself is quite high quality. The metal is rigid and the finish is nice. There are no sharp edges. This should last a long time. At this price it's a great value and I highly recommend it - whether you drive a Tacoma or not.

Nice product
Easy to install. I recommend an extra set of hands just to hold up the othere side, while you install it. Directions say 40min to install but it is more like 10min. Fits good and is sturdy

Fits 13 dcsb tacoma just fine.
Literally just installed this, so can't really speak to durability much.Pros: easy install without extra help, looks good, feels fairly sturdy, included extended replacement bolts.Cons: tabs were incorrectly bent entitling too much from factory (easy fix, no tools req'd), was missing hardware (1 washer), coating has several minor surface scratches and a few corners could've used deburring. All said: I'm content with this purchase. Steel is soft enough to bend tabs by hand, but feels fairly sturdy in the tacoma. I had plenty of spare washers to find a decent substitute, but i could see others being less accepting: the former business owner side of me wants to question their qc, but i got bigger fish to fry.Steel is thick enough that plastic molle add-ons won't work, but the few small pouches i have fit great.

awesome addition for overlanding.
Awesome addition to my overlanding rig. Installed this on my 06 Tacoma and stated adding everything I could. I have 3 telescoping fishing poles (1 adult and 2 kids), military canteen, 2 hiking poles, first aid kit and 2 fire starter kits mounted on it. Holds everything fine. quick and easy installation but having a buddy hold it while you mount it would make it easier.

It is fit right on Tacoma 05 pre-runner Double cab.
With small struggle to put it in by yourself and factory screws it's finally fit. When i buy it i was think i can put some staff insaide that space but you can't if you set it right. Maybe if you bend sides (but i don't want try). It's comes with extra screws what they provided if your manufacture screws do not fit .You may need help bc it's bit heavy to work by yourself and it's metal. I managed to installed it with my factory screws which they shorter just bc washers. It's strdy material and you can hang on it whatever you want and it will not bend . Hang your gun or 5 guns or close , bags etc it's tacticool and it's gives your truck special look inside and also it match my tactical set behind front seats . Hooke Road is expensive but material is metal and sturdy that's why I choose this !

Can work in a 3rd gen
This can work in a 3rd gen if you have the patience and have some pliers. I’ll admin the front edge needs to be smoothed out some, but I bent all of this with a pair of vice grips and a rag.I wanted something to mount fire extinguishers on and add a little more storage. Only have kids in the backseat, so height wasn’t an issue. There is a gap between it and the headliner which I now have towels stuffed above the rack for more storage area. Works great if you have the patience. I bent it up and got it installed in about 1 hour.
