No data on whether the beans are suitable for an automatic coffee maker, but can attest the beans are not oily. Have purchased several bags of these, and none have been "oily". Just dry.

Aren't Rubsto beans used only in cheaper coffees blends?

Robusto is commonly used in espresso blends along with arabica. Many lavazza blends contain robusto and I wasn't disappointed by any.

How is it for making americano

Excellent, smooth, good taste without bitterness.

What is the expiration date that appears on the bag?

Expiration Date varies: at least 6 months to one year which is pretty good!

Great taste... Less bitter

Very Smooth.. no bitter bite at all, but powerful buzz. This is less bitter than Super Crema and really enjoy this one and may be the best so far.. I enjoy this one better than Super Crema and Barista Gran Crema... If you want a more stronger coffee, go with the Super Crema... I you want the same energetic buzz with less bitterness and still has the crema top.. .this is the one for you!

Dunkin is better

I've been drinking this for abut a week now. I have to say to my taste it is inferior to Dunkin's original or Trader Joe's "Joe"--both of which are very similar roasts to Rossa. I grind the beans to a medium grind and use a MoccaMaster to brew. Usually an 18:1 water to coffee ratio is just right for most coffees, but for Rossa I'm currently trying 16:1. If anyone wants to share their own ratio experience for Rossa I'd be interested in knowing.
