Excellent knife at a value price. Effortless to open if you use your thumb.
I own a significant number and variety of knives and I must say this is a great knife at a value price. The D2 tool steel has approximately 12-13% chromium and therefore falls into the category of a semi-stainless steel; however, this is only 1-2% less than the 14% minimum to be a full stainless. D2 is a hard and reasonably tough steel. Not as tough as CPM-20CV or Sandvik 14C28N, but it has excellent edge retention. It is an effective combination of wear resistance and toughness at a hardness of 58-60 HRC.For all those having difficulty using the flipper to open with one hand, it is because the flipper is designed for opening with your thumb rather than your index finger. Use of the thumb provides an almost effortless as well as fast opening.

Seems like a high quality knife, love the design with one minor negative
I don’t normally write reviews until I’ve owned purchases for a while but this knife is awesome! Love the size and design. Construction is high quality. Blade came shaving sharp, hopefully will hold its edge over time. Carries well in your pocket due to its streamlined profile. My only complaint is the flipper stud is extremely hard to use in the traditional way because of the orientation. I figured out it’s just as easy to push it on you leg and snap the blade open with a quick flip. If the flipper stud were any different it wouldn’t be so sleek. Overall love this knife! This is my current EDC and Will come back and add longer term notes. Very happy I made this purchase

Amazing Japanese style Tanto blade!
This knife is amazing for the money! The blade is super sharp out of the box! I knew if I fidgeted with it long enough I was going to get cut... and I did. This is the closest to a real Japanese Tanto folder I have come across. It is beautiful and solid. I would not be afraid to use this for cutting as I know the blade can handle it. Unfortunately, I think this will be a collector piece for me as I find it a bit too dangerous to EDC. The blade when closed is so close to the back of the handle scales that I am sure I can cut myself with it closed just by running my hand against the back of the scales gently. I feel the blade contact my palm when closing it. Also it is not easy to open for someone not familiar with a front flipper. This is still an amazing piece and I am so glad I kept it in my wish list even though it has been out of stock for over a year and a half. I would recommend buying it now just to have since it may not stay in stock long. Simply beautiful!

Very high quality knife. Here's the trick to opening it with one hand...
Quality was much higher than your usual $25-$50 knife on Amazon; has a heft to it while not being heavy, and has nice detailing like the darkened steel liner to stabilize the handle. The trick to opening it with one hand is to hold it as normal when closed, then put the fleshy part between two joints of your index finger against the ridged flipper part - then simply move the finger over the handle towards the rear of the knife. It will bite a bit the first few time, and takes some finger strength and practice, but then you'll get used to it.

Amazing knife, especially at this price
I own a lot of knives, some costing several hundred dollars and more, and yet I was very impressed with this knife. I bought it originally based on the style, I was just drawn to it's design, and the reviews didn't scare me away, but when I received it and initially checked it out, wow, I was quite impressed. I mean for $50, you can't go wrong. I have some other budget friendly brands that costs more than this knife did, but really can't compare to this knife in terms of design and craftmanship. For a big knife, it is hardly noticable in the pocket. It is more noticable than my Bugout, but nowhere as noticable as my ZT 562TI is. It falls somewhere in the middle of those two knives, which are some of my favorite EDC knives. As for this knife, I am impressed with its build quailty and functionality. I've carried it for about two months now and so far its been great. The Japanese style flipper doesn't take too long to get accommodated to and works great once you have it mastered, in the intended manner, that is with your thumb and not your index finger. Great knife for a great price, get one and check it out!

Bump flip
Love this knife the weight the action the grip. Beautiful nice to show off or use. I have found it easy to put an edge back on it after abuse.I open it with a bump flip action which is quick and reverses the action and movement.I really like how i can mistreat this knife and clean and sharpen it into a show piece again

Not the best
Out of the box i was impressed with how sharp the blade is but once using it for anything other then tape i noticed the blade geometry is terrible! The blade is so thick it makes cutting simple things like cardboard and dangerous task because it does not cut well the scales feel very cheap and the flipper tab isnt the best and hits your hand unless you have your hand way down on the handle all and all im really not impressed with this knife
