Very well made and very durable....
I love this cage! I got the ruby red one which is more brown than red and it's very pretty. It was easy to put together and it is very well made. It's very sturdy like the King cages and not flimsy at all. Since my bird is an escape artist I had to add a few things like tie cables to corners even though it can't be collapsed now, but I don't plan on taking it down anyway since I will be using it to contain my amazon parrot while he's in the car. The door handle might be a challenge for him to open which is a relief as on the old one we had to put a padlock on it to keep him in. I figured this out one day when I took him for a ride and didn't know he had escaped from the back seat and climbed up on my shoulder. I about ran off the road. He loves little trips so he's going to love this! This came with all the parts except one little spring was missing, so I am going to have to hunt down one of those although it's not absolutely necessary to make it work. It also came with perch on top and 2 cups and perch. It's very heavy duty and kind of heavy and well worth the extra money of what the old cage was which is lightweight and cheap looking compared to this. The bars are close enough together where he can't get his big head through them. They are about half an inch apart. Someone said something about their bird getting his foot or something caught in the bottom. I don't think this is too likely occurrence but I always put some newspaper or a doggie pee pad in the bottom of the cage anyway instead of in the tray as it's easy to pull that out than it is to keep cleaning the bars.

Had Great experience with it for past 2 years.
It has been more than 2 years for me since i bought this cage at amazon for a great price, i decided to post a review for it now. It came in perfect condition. But it required good instructions to assemble it, anyhow it was assembled in 30 mins. Some of the parts required rubber mallet to fit the parts into right slots. After it was assembled it looked great and sturdy and heavy! (Note: some of the screws were missing in the assembly process but it is not a big deal.)I have been using this cage for my African Grey Parrot as a sleeping cage and to travel by car for long distances. the cage is very sturdy and its QUITE HEAVY! if you are trying to use this cage to move around the house a lot, then this is not the cage for you. this cage is heavy, but if you are able to lift it easily then its k. but for the people who cant lift heavy stuff all the time or old people, then you need to find a different cage, I have kept this cage at the same place in my house and i move it very occasionally unless required. After using it for 2 years constantly as a sleeping cage. My bird is quite safe and content in it for the whole night. It has a large space for her to play in and to attach a wooden perch or plenty of toys. the feeding bowls are amazing specially accessible from outside! the door is quite big to let her in and out. it also has a small door near the top and between the larger door but i do not use it and keep it closed. the small door maybe excellent for smaller types birds to let them in.This cage have taken enough abuse from my African Grey and it is still in EXCELLENT CONDITION for 2 years. looks new every time i clean it with water. I use dishwasher soap and soak it wet with water. So far no rusting in the cage or any breakage from my parrot bites. This cage came with a silver paint. i did not happen to use it at all. it might have been dried by now. but so far it looks totally new every time i give it a rinse.Pros: Sturdy, Heavy, Plenty of space for medium to large birds, you can fit different perches and toys, bottom grill and tray comes off smoothly, you can wash or soak it in water for easy clean, the food bowls has outside access with individual doors, and my bird does not sleep at night without it. i have a king cage for daytime.Cons: VERY HEAVY, my mom & sister cant lift it. You need someone to lift it for you if you cant do it yourself.Other than the heaviness of this cage, it will be a excellent one time investment for you. it is very sturdy and strong enough to handle rough use.PS: Sorry for the long post! One last thing is, this cage can become temporary housing if you are going out of town and you need someone babysitting your bird at a friends house. you don't need to move the big cage. just leave this cage with them. the food bowls are accessible from the outside for anyone to feed the parrot because they are nippy and can bite strangers if the bowls had inside access like the most travel cages do. Overall excellent buy and i had a great experience with it. worth the money. Thanks!

Heavy, flimsy parts.
Its a good product for what you pay but don't expect perfection. The cage is bigger than I expected and relatively easy to put together but there were some flaws in the product, some probably from shipping, some are just design flaws. I can get past the dent in some of the scratches, bent wiring and the crooked food bowls but what really took off two stars for me are the flaws in the perch. As you can see in the pictures the whole perch is stripped and crooked, planning on taking twine to save both me and my bird from splinters but the actual "handle" part feels so so flimsy. This is supposed to be a travel cage yet I feel as if the handle is going to fall off. Lastly the cage is HEAVY. This cage will do okay for long weekends or if I need to drop my bird off somewhere for a few hours (Sometimes he spends the day at my boyfriends house if I know I will be working late) as there is plenty of space for toys but for quick trips to the vet or day trips this cage is going to be too large and heavy. I also had to hammer in the top as it would not "click" in. One perk is however after purchasing this product from amazon, I went to my local pet store and saw the exact same cage for $150 so I felt better knowing I hadn't spent that much on it. Also my small cat is in one of the pictures for size reference (she was "helping"
