A mung bean is a fuel capsule full of all the nutrition required to create life. By germinating the mung beans you unlock the nutrients & enzymes that lay dormant within the bean. Once germinated I blend them into a batter with a little salt and water. In a large skillet I heat 1/3 cup of coconut oil at high heat and pour a couple of tablespoons of the mung bean batter on the skillet (like a small pancake (about 4 per skillet) I fry them till golden brown on both sides. I love them plain or drizzled with maple syrup or honey. I also love them when mixed with chopped raw spinach and green onions. I add a beaten egg white, cumin powder and cayenne pepper. I tried to prout the seeds. Followed all the instructions and recommendations from my research. The germination rate was poor and the sprouts were short no matter how long I waited. Maybe the seeds were too old? Anyway, no more sprouting. Will use for cooking from now.

I have been growing bean sprouts from Mung beans for 20 years. Thought this bag was a good deal. Bag smelled funny on arrival. Tried to grow some, nothing happened except they turned slimy and smelled terrible. Tried another batch. Rinsed them multiple times prior to setting in my sprouted. No germination after 4 days but smell terrible again and were very slimy and bubbly.No returns allowed so stuck with this rotten product from amazon.

I received the package in a timely manner and the Beans were very clean and unbroken. They came in a 4 pound package, just as advertised. I was able to sprout the beans in about 5 days for a rice paper spring roll recipe. I would purchase this item again~ The wife

Good price for a bunch of seeds, however they do not sprout 100% - and difficult to separate the non sprouting beans, they are pretty hard when you bite into them - won't break a tooth, but pretty annoying. You can see the bad beans in the bag. Nor do the sprouts get very large.I've had much better results with other brands, worth a few bucks more to get better seeds.
