SKY Q Broadband Hub 4 Dual Band Wireless Router Sky SR203

Sky sent me a box that was broken,Ordered this one off Amazon plugged it in and it worked perfectly!

Sky are very difficult, no my sky broadband was consistently breaking down, could get Sky Broadband Hub 4 only if I signed up for a new 18 month contract, so purchased this router and results a lot better! So yes better than original.

Not often do I write a review, but this has doubled my wifi speeds with a stable connection. The old ER110 hub had its day after many many reliable years, although Sky still want me to keep resetting. Bought this and now getting the stable speeds I pay for. very happy!

My last Sky hub was ‘fried’ after a power cut, probably by an electrical surge. I had an old one but that was a lot slower. I tried calling Sky but they just wanted to send out an engineer. I know I could have bought a different make and got it to work but getting a Sky replacement just means it works with no messing about with settings etc. Works straight out of the box and I was connecting all the Wi-Fi stuff within a couple of minutes. My broadband package is up to 75mbps and now with this hub I’m back up to 65+ mbps over Wi-Fi which is pretty good. I have done lots of speed tests over the last 24 hours and they have all been pretty consistent. It is expensive but “third party’ modem/routers are very nearly as much so all in all I’m happy.

Bought this because the older sky, lays flat, version has always kept getting hung up. Read from reviews this stand up one has more antenna, resets itself if there is a problem and gives faster download speeds. Faster yes, I have slow broadband this increased speed by over a third 14 now up to 24, and seems more stable when downloading updates. But most important in the month we have run it, the internet has hung very few times, occasionally with Netflix. But closing the programme and asking to resume and offer go. Previously we could spend an hour waiting for this to happen.

Bought this to replace our Sky Q flat router (adsl) as it could sometimes struggle to keep connected to our booster and get wifi to the back room where my wifes office is (small 3 bedroom house nothing big). I plugged this in instead and it very quickly was up and running replacing our old one with almost no fuss. The wifi booster in kitchen has a much more solid connection (according to the signal light not flickering as much anymore) and my wife reports less drop offs during meetings. Hopefully this remains the same but as it’s only been a week so I can speak for it’s long term effect.So far so good.
