Great Durability
I love this set! The colors are cute, and they are very sturdy. My kiddo likes to "drop" her bowl and these have held up well! I was looking for something that didn't contain harmful plastics and would hold up well. Theses stack easily and take up very little cabinet space. The plates have a deep, rounded edge that makes it easier for her to keep all of her food on her plate rather than it sliding off. It has been so helpful for her to learn how to feed herself and not lose her food in the process.

Love these
Beautiful colors. They wash great on the top rack of dishwasher (as per instructions). We don’t typically cut on these, however, we haven’t received any scratches or marks in them. Love that they aren’t plastic yet I dont worry about them being in my toddlers hands. They have survived tumbles from the high chair just fine.

Great 1st Birthday gift.
I’ve been on a bit of a “crunchy” journey, learning about nutrition and how the products and food around us affect our health and development. My 2 nephews turned 1 year old this month and I’m definitely prone to giving super practical, quality gifts and hearing about plastics in children’s dishes sparked this idea to get them an alternative for dishes! I did check with my sister-in-laws to see if they even cared about such an extravagant purchase (six each of bowls and plates from Pillowfort/Target brand cost $6 total) and to ask what colors they preferred. To give some perspective, the same plastic that the Target dishes are made from is the same common plastic used for most containers of anything we buy from the store like yogurt, etc. BUT, I loved what my one SIL said - what’s better? Eating potato chips all day or eating 50% grapes and 50% potato chips. So I splurged to eliminate a little bit of that icky plastic. These are so much more sturdy than any kid’s dishes I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen a lot) and we are aware they are more prone to breaking but we’ll see how that goes. I also included a picture of size comparison with my squarish Corelle dishes to show that they’re a bit bigger than Target brand kid dishes. The box is bigger than I expected and doesn’t seem like a lame gift!

Eco-Friendly Rainforest Design Delights My 1-Year-Old!
I purchased the Grow Forward Bamboo Kids Plates and Bowls Set (8-piece, Rainforest design) for my 1-year-old, who’s just starting to self-feed, and it’s been a wonderful addition to our mealtime routine! This set includes four 7.7-inch plates and four 5.9-inch bowls, crafted from 100% biodegradable, sustainably harvested bamboo fiber. As a parent prioritizing non-toxic, eco-friendly products, I love that these are free from BPA, PVC, phthalates, and other harmful chemicals, ensuring my baby’s food is served safely. The Rainforest design, with its vibrant greens and playful animal motifs, is a hit with my little one—it’s engaging without being overly cartoonish, making mealtimes fun and visually stimulating. The kid-friendly design is perfect for a 1-year-old transitioning to solids. The plates have a high lip to prevent food from sliding off, and the bowls are wide and shallow with a stable base, making it easy for tiny hands to scoop purees or small bites like peas and puffs. The lightweight bamboo (much lighter than ceramic!) is durable and has survived several enthusiastic drops onto our tile floor without shattering, though it’s not completely unbreakable, as noted by the manufacturer. The set is top-rack dishwasher-safe, and I’ve found they clean effortlessly without retaining stains or odors, even after serving messy foods like mashed sweet potatoes. The stackable design is also a space-saver, ideal for our small kitchen and for packing for picnics or visits to grandma’s house.I gave it four stars instead of five because the set is not microwave-safe, which is a slight inconvenience when I need to warm up food quickly. Additionally, while the bamboo is marketed as scratch-proof, I noticed minor surface marks after using a metal spoon during cleanup, so I’d suggest using silicone or plastic utensils to preserve the finish. These are minor drawbacks, as the eco-friendly materials and thoughtful design make this set a standout. I highly recommend the Grow Forward Bamboo Kids Plates and Bowls Set in Rainforest design to parents of young toddlers who want sustainable, safe, and visually appealing dishware that supports early self-feeding skills. It’s a durable, stylish choice that both my 1-year-old and I love!

Toddler Dropped the plate and now looking to get a replacement per their warranty.
Overall these plates and bowls are pretty nice. I like how they're easy to clean even with greasy foods unlike tupperware where if there's oily foods the plastic is a pain in the butt to wash. These are also just the right size for toddler soup portions and meals. Unfortunately our son dropped the yellow plate about a week after we purchased and I have reached out to the company via their email asking for a replacement since they provide a 100% lifetime warranty. I'll update again if they follow through or if they don't.UPDATE 1/22/2023 - I emailed Grow Forward and they responded pretty quickly. They indeed stand behind their 100% lifetime warranty and made things whole with me. The process was very painless and the founder even emailed me to make sure everything was squared away. I am very impressed with the company and how they handle things.
