This works!!
I have a 21 yo arab mare that devloped a cough/wheeze during pasture board. Mostly dry lot, not a whole lot of grazing. She did have access to rounds, which im not a fan of. I was afraid the dust or maybe mold from the round was causing it. Planned to move her to a seperate paddock so i could feed squares. But i got her started on this stuff first. When i went to move her just FOUR days later, poof. No cough! She even ran herself silly (stress of the move), and not even 1 exercise induced cough. No more wheeze. Idk what the initial cause for her cough was, and maybe i cant prove this stuff is what cleared it up. But it wont hurt to try!

Works!!
The reviews state that is smells chemically. Well of coarse it does. Had him vet checked and they said he just has allergies. I put baby fruit on top and my horse loves it. Thought he was all better so I took him off it for a few days and he started coughing again. Gave it to him and cough all gone. My horse is super finicky but I found a way for him to eat it and it works.

Didn’t help my horse but he had chronic breathing issues
Purchased in hopes it would help our mustang with his breathing but it didn’t do anything for him. Not saying the product wouldn’t work for other horses thought it just wasn’t what mine needed. They did refund my money since it didn’t work!

The ONLY Cough Free I Use
I like the fact I can choose a size and it ALWAYS arrives the day it says it will or BEFORE! There is absolutely nothing to dislike about the product, packaging or ordering.

Don't bother for seasonal allergies
My horse has really bad seasonal allergies. No cough, but she'll be severely out of breath just walking in the paddock. This year I tried Cough Free. Vet thought it was a good idea. I started her on it in February, to make sure we'd be prepared, and watched as the spring arrived... Major disappointment. Her allergies came, just as bad as usual. I kept her on Cough Free until April, in hopes it would eventually kick in, but it never did.If I can give it any praise, it's that this comes in pellet form instead of powder, and the fact that my horse ate it at all (she is very picky); however she'd only eat 1 scoop. She consistently refused her whole grain tub with the recommended 2 scoop loading dose. Not even applesauce could convince her to eat 2 scoops. The 70 day supply container itself is also good value for long-term use, compared to the 30 or 48 day supply.

Very Effective BUT need creativity to get horse to eat it
This product made a huge difference in my horse's cough as promised. The only problem was that other reviews were right: really does not like how it tastes or smells. I tried a few different combinations: molasses, applesauce, with peppermints and had no luck! Crushing it also not a good idea my horse REALLY hated that. The product advises to start on 2 scoops a day. Other professionals will tell you to add any new supplement slowly into food so horse gets used to it. The first two weeks at two scoops were a pain in the ass to get into her but I noticed a big difference in her cough so I kept at it! What finally worked was giving one scoop with feed and mixing it with W3 oil from Mad Barn. She finds that very easy to eat. The "smell" other reviews are referring to is the Sulfur. This is commonly used in respiratory infections in horses. In this supplement it is a much smaller maintenance dose combined with other ingredients in the product. If you're having a hard time getting horse to eat keep trying...it's worth it!
