Morello Austera Sour Cherries in Syrup, 11.31 Ounce

I bought these with the intent to make a black forest cake but since that didn't happen I used them to top pancakes, they were delicious, not sour at all but not overly sweet either. They would be terrific just poured over vanilla ice cream for a simply elegant dessert or you could make your own cherry Garcia. 🍒 Mmm.

Somewhat overpriced but such a delicious treat on waffles, ice cream and crepes. Not soggy but has a sour/sweet bite. Will be buying again.

Delicious. Not as much snap as some of the Amarena cherries (particularly the Fabbri brand), but a not-so-sweet flavor that has a great sour counterpoint. Highly recommend for cherry lovers.

these are the best amareno cherries I have had, and much more like what you find on the table of actual Italians in Italy. other brands (fabri in particular) are grossly over-sweetened to appeal to the American/British palate, but these are not chokingly sweet, allowing the light and delicious sweet-tart flavor of the actual fruit to shine through. I am SO happy to have finally found someplace to buy them

Jar arrived with few cherries and they were mushy, about 1/4 was cherries. supplier was very responsive and once contacted, promptly sent us a jar that was filled to the top and the cherries were firm. This brand was not as tasty, full bodied flavor like some of the others we tried.
