where can i get a lid for the square cube tray? seems incomplete without a lid.

A lid on the square tray will serve no purpose. It works fine without a lid. The cubes are flat on the top anyway. As for clear ice, - NO, Lids do not create clear ice. To get clear ice you need to freeze from the top down so a lid would actually hinder the making of clear ice.

I’ve purchased two silicone molds. I'm getting the white ugly floaters from both, which rendered my drink completely undrinkable. Any residue left?

I have this problem too, but it's your water, not your molds. Easy fix, since the floaters are on the outside of the ice (at least they are for me). Give them a very quick rinse from the faucet and empty the glass. No more floaters.

Does these make the ice taste like plastic/silicone?

Not at all! It makes the perfect ice for cocktails.

If this product was bpa free, why wouldn’t you include that in product description??? seems odd

I don't think they are. It's not listed in the description anywhere so I wouldn't rely on them to be BPA-free. However, it's worth noting that "BPA-Free" products are not necessarily any safer, so I'd encourage you to do your own research.

Important, Check size of your glasses!

Works really well, makes very big cubes and ice balls, needs a good period of time to freeze solid due to quantity of water.I left my first set only a few hours and they were only half frozen. Second attempt I left 24h, they were solid, all 4 ice balls kame out of the plastic base quite easily. But it was a bit of a fight to get them out of the silicone top, I got two out eventually but nearly got frost bite doing so, lol, I think next time will leave them at room temp for a short while or try washing warm tap water over the top of the silicone to see if that frees the ice from the silicone.Overall good first impressions, have not tried the square ones yet.Would also suggest that before you make ice, that you compare size of the cubes and balls with size of your glasses, I dropped the first ball in to my glass and was shocked when it did not get to the bottom and I was using a pint glass.

Round Ball of Ice

I was very excited when this turned up. I wanted to recreate Savoy Hotel-esque cocktails. The ball moulds were a bit fiddly to begin with and you are most likely to get a crack through the middle as opposed to a perfect ball. This one lasted about 3 months before it cracked. However, the second tray with 6 square cubes is fantastic and I am still using it 2 years on.
