A must try for endurance athletes!
I’ve tried a number of energy gels and have had stomach issues with the greater majority of them. Huma was a very pleasant surprise. No stomach problems, great taste and a noticeable performance boost. Highly recommend.

Better than expected
Delicious flavors and no stomach upset which has been an issue for me with other formulated products. I used these recently during a trail run and they sustained me better than I expected.

Easy on the stomach for sure. Used these during training for my first 50K out in Oklahoma. 10/10

Good gels. Need more ingredient disclosure up front.
New to gels. I hear it’s trial and error for everyone. I like the ingredients and tolerate these well. I like the variety pack to sample before committing to a flavor. However I am disappointed that there are 6 gels I can’t eat due to food allergies. I knew the Apple cinnamon would be a waste, but was willing to sacrifice those two. However, I was not expecting Apple purée /concentrate to be in the lemon and lime flavor as well as the mango orange. I really wish more of the ingredient labels would’ve been disclosed in the current listing for this reason. Removed one star for that. I will buy again because I had good results but will be more careful next time with my flavor selection.

An acquired taste
In my opinion, energy gels (of all kinds) are nasty and they take some time to get used to. First time I tried one of these, I gagged a bit. But after some time, I’ve gotten used to them and they no longer make me gag. I really like these one’s compared to other brands because I find them easy to digest and the gel texture is almost like a purée. Also, I definitely get an energy boost after taking at least half a gel. I would recommend putting them in the freezer the night before a run; they won’t freeze, but I find that the cold temperature makes it easier to wash down. Also, take with water.

Gamechanger fuel for ultrarunning and marathons (170 miles raced in the past 3 months)
I took a gamble and used Huma for the first time on an 70k (originally 110k) ultrarunning race in Sept 2024 (Wildstrubel in the Swiss alps) --- Huma kept me going through the countless leg-busting uphills, AND was the first time I had no gastrointestinal distress during the race. (This is especially shocking because previously I would always take Immodium pre-race, and pay for the discomfort later :P)Huma actually tastes good!!! It's not sticky like Gu gels, and actually feels hydrating. I look forward to every squeeze of the packet -- my strategy is to hold it in one hand and slowly dole it out to myself as a treat before every ascent.I was Huma-powered again for my first 100 miler (Midstate Massive) a month later in Oct 2024, and took 3rd place in that race.Yesterday (Nov 2024) I ran Philly marathon with 4 Huma packets (apples & cinnamon, lemon & lime, mango, strawberry lemonade) and broke my PR by 30 min!Needless to say I recommend Huma for any sort of physical activity -- I will definitely be bringing it on my next backpacking trip too. It was even better to listen to "Born to Run" recently, wonder if Huma was related to the Tarahumara (esp because of the chia ingredient), and to realize that was the inspiration :)
