The diameter of the removed core would depend on the drilling angle, cutting conditions, and the material removed due to friction. Having said that, you could expect it to be close to 1-3/4 inches.

Q: will this work with fiberglass?

Yes, it can work with fiberglass. We recommend using water for cooling. And using a template (a piece of plywood with a 2-inch hole) will help you position the tool.
