Fumoto Oil Drain Valve F106N

I finally installed this F106N device on our 2019 Mazda CX5 2.5 liter engine. The oil filter is near the oil pan drain but presents no problem with it or the bottom engine cover.Before receiving this F106N device, and being a retired aircraft mechanic, safety of the engine comes first before convenience when substituting the security of the drain plug. So when I got it, I thought I would drill a hole in the valve lever and install safety wire to secure the lever in closed position in case the lever spring were to malfunction and open. My worries were not necessary, not shown when you purchase this valve is a plastic device that when installed, secures the lever in place.With this valve screwed into the oil pan drain, it will block a small amount of oil from draining out because it is screwed into the pan when before the drain plug was removed lowering the drain point.For the purist that wants to get all the oil out possible, compressed air can be shot into the dipstick tube to blow out the rest of the oil.Along with aircraft maintenance as a career, I have been doing auto maintenance for over 60 years and this device makes it so much easier to drain the oil and not make a mess and I have had a few of them!.There aren't many Mazda Speed 6 cars (2005-2007) anymore so this info may not be much help unless the Mazda Speed3 uses the same oil pan..

Came across this device while putzing around on the internet. I absolutely love it. I have it on 2 of my 3 cars and couldn't be happier. Doing oil changes was always messier and was more of a setup, putting down sheeting for spills, getting my drain pan pushed under the car, positioning it, then pouring the waste oil in to a secure container. Now I just push some 1/4"ID tubing on this, put the other end in an old oil bottle, and open it up. It's very easy, and no more worrying about spoiling oil everywhere and remembering to keep oil drain pan bolt gaskets on hand.

Excellent product and very high quality. I was dubious before I ordered these, but upon receiving the valve I can confirm it's of good weight with a nice tight swivel action to the valve release. I've now had this fitted for about 6 months and have used it do perform 3 oil changes; each has been clean and easy

So having used this a few times now, I can't imagine doing an oil change on my vehicle any other way. No having to find the right socket to undue the drain plug, no messy cleanup... Just open up the valve with attached vinyl tubing and let it run into the oil pan... Would definitely recommend to change out your drain plug to this as soon as you can. You'll save so much time, effort, and elbow grease in doing so!

Install and save time changing your own oil. Very nice to hook up a hose and never have a spill again!

Haven't installed yet, but appears to be of expected quality.

Did not fit mine 97 mustang gt oil pan.

Finally got to install one of the two I purchased on my 2013 Chrysler T&C. No problem installing, the instructions say to tighten with a crescent wrench. Looks like it will work well. Have to wait until the next oil change to get to use it.
