Was I supposed to clean these first?
I'm new to dip pens and had heard/read/seen that you should clean the nibs when they are new (stabbing into a potato being the most common suggestion), but I forgot to do that. I have used one of each of the G nibs and I didn't notice any issues with keeping the ink. Maybe they didn't need the cleaning?Anyway, as a beginner I did worry about how they'd feel. I found I could easily control the pressure and line variation hasn't been a problem for me. If I were to really get into this like those who might need lots more nibs, I'd buy a larger pack for a better per piece price, but I wanted to try them out first.
