Is this an offical licensed Lego Technics Lamborghini set and will it be shipped with a protective outer box?

I can't speak for other sellers, but mine is an official Lego set. It *should* be shipped with an outer box. However, to be sure, you can check 'Ship in Amazon packaging' on the checkout page. This option should be slightly to the left of where you pick your delivery day. One final word of caution -- I would ONLY purchase from sellers where the item is 'Fulfilled By Amazon' or 'Prime eligible.' That way, you know it's gone through a quality check at one of Amazon's warehouses. Enjoy this set. It's a good one!

Why is it so expensive? Lego official website is $379 and they have them in stock.

This seller is price grabbing and no it is not a rare set. I got my 2 sets through The LEGO company and there were no parts issues and it was not $500.000. When you want the real stuff go through the source and avoid these “we live for profit operators “ . Nuff said ..
