I have read pressfields previous books , I am not the biggest fan of this one to be honest and it’s a very very short read and for the price at the time don’t think it was worth it.Some of the pages have barely a few paragraphs in and with it under 100 pages just feels like something that should be included for free in a book bundle

This book is quite 'ra-ra' - lots of slogans in large writing. The title Belly of the Beast is written across 4 pages for some reason. This would probably be best as an audiobook.Also it could be just my copy but the cover seemed like it was printer on a colour inkjet printer. However the main body was printed normally.

I liked the general idea of the book to start the work and be prepared for setbacks.However, the book is too short ( 100 pages with many pages having few words because of the large font and the style of the book ). Also it is targeting someone who is going to write a book or do a similar activity.

I was hoping for book which would guide or help me with my procrastination but this book mainly deals with how to write and publish a good novel, the author might have used those examples to teach about procrastination but it was not relatable as I am not a writer. Many of the statements felt like generic facebook quotes. I was hoping for a detailed explanation why a person might procrastinate and how to avoid them by using relatable examples and scientific studies but this book feels generic. It might be helpful and relatable but not to all as the examples given to explain the content are some what specific.

Reading this book was like being shouted out by someone you don't know who has had WAY too much caffeine! I loved War of Art and found it inspirational and effective. This didn't really hit the spot for me.
