Brilliant- get your reluctant readers reading with this!
My 8 year old daughter has read all of these now and still goes back and re-reads them again and again. I wish there were more and that there were more cartoonists who wrote cartoons about strong female characters. I cannot praise the author/ illustrator enough. Thank you so much! It was the only books I could get my daughter to read to help inspire her to read more. She usually read them cover to cover in 5-10 mins. I've also really enjoyed reading them and we made sure we read each one before we watched the episodes. I love the style and colours, brilliant story lines and funny characters. We like to do a lot of story telling at home and often bring the characters and ideas in to our stories. Who'd of thought that trolls would hate to have bells tied to their noses or that there was so much paperwork involved in being able to see elves!

Hilda is THE BEST!
Just the best comic series for kids. A strong interesting imperfect female character, cool imaginative creatures, adventure, my girls (2.5 & 5) can’t wait for the next one. It’s also something that’ll grow with them, they’re too young to grasp the smaller complex themes at the moment but still love the main adventure story and will understand more and more as they grow.

Action packed and wonderus
My son loves these books. When he heard this one had a cliff hanger ending he waited until the next one was released so he could get them together. He says he's glad all that waiting paid off. This instalment is very action packed with a few unexpected twists ta boot.

Great adventures for girls and their dads
The Hilda series has been fantastic for my daughter from 5 to 6. They've helped her learning to read situations and expressions as well as words. They are full of greet ideas and adventures to inspire us way more than the standard "stories for girls" that mostly seem to feature male lead characters having adventures and saving the day.
