Just a little thinner then I thought it would be

The quality of the silicone is really nice and the same as other Mushie products, which I like, and they have a nice selection of neutral colours. It is not a suction placemat but the underneath is definitely anti skid as long as your table is smooth (works great on granite kitchen counters) and won’t move around at all. The silicone surface is also a great anti slip surface to prevent non suction plate/bowls from sliding around too much.The size unfortunately was way too small for my 2 year old and would barely fit a round 8.5” plate, so there wasn’t much room to catch food falling off the plate. Due to the semi circle nature (and the plate taking up the whole centre), my son’s cup would then have to be at the edge of the table which is not great for uncoordinated toddlers while eating. I was worried it might have been too small before ordering but there were no measurements on the product page so I took a chance ordering it. Once it arrived I checked and it measures 18” wide at the bottom and is 9” tall in the very centre. It is lovely quality and I think it would work great for a younger child who uses smaller plates or eats right off the placemat and is pulled up to a table or counter to eat (instead of off a highchair tray as the placemat would be too big for most trays), but it was too small for my needs. If it came in a larger size, preferably a rectangle rather than semi circle, I would not hesitate to order.

We got this after using many single-use placemats for eating at restaurants. This is far superior to what we had, and is much easier to use. This is very easy to clean and goes with us everywhere. I left off a suction power rating since this doesn't have any suction cups, so I don't think it's a very applicable metric. The bottom is flat silicon that is non-slip. My kid still tries to pull it off the table, but that's expected and doesn't reflect bad on the product. Would recommend!

I got one in green and one with dinosaurs. The green one shows water spots when it dries, so it doesn’t look as nice as it does out of the package, which is a bummer because the color is wonderful. I can’t see the water spots in the dinosaur one, so the lighter color mats may be the way to go. Also, if you’re looking for a auction mat, this isn’t for you. Unlike the ezpz mat/bowls, this doesn’t stick to the table really at all. But the size is great and the design is a million times cuter than the bright colors offered by other places. So, pros and cons.
