Works fine, essential for garage
Rather than tossing fouled and dirty plugs, I decided after decades of knowing these existed, to finally buy one. My power valve failed on a Holley carb. All plugs fouled and carboned up. Plugs were brand new. Pulled and blasted them. Put plugs back in to see if carb repair worked. It did, glad I bought the blaster. I will use it on all engines, no need to keep buying new plugs.

Works really well
Great little plug cleaner. Placed black rubber band gasket around unit then fitted bag over it and tightened the hose clamp. Screwed in compressor hose nipple (not included) also saved the little round rubber plug to stick in the other end later to keep grit from coming out when storing. Then mounted the unit vertically to bench. Used funnel to pour in blasting grit (included) and hooked up compressor hose. Husky 8 gal 1.8hp 150 psi hot dog style wheeled compressor cleaned each plug in under 20 seconds no need to over do it. I did use the units air function on each plug after blasting. I then pulled the hose off the Sunex unit and attached an air gun, dipped each plug in Gasoline and then gave each a final blowing off making sure no residue remained. Vintage motorcycle carburetor tuning requires plug inspection and this Sunex unit is a keeper.

FLAWED CONCEPT: A BLOW OUT
Being familiar with Sunex Tools, I opted to start with a name brand as opposed to the cheaper spark plug cleaners sold at the flea markets and China shops. The quality of craftsmanship is evident. Set up was a breeze. The first thing I did was install a 1/4" male coupler to attach my quick-connect air hose. Do use teflon thread tape. For the initial test, I held the cleaner in my hands so I could press the air button with my right thumb while rotating the plug with my left hand. I set the unit on B for blast. Even with 110 PSI, there was no kick back. It was a very smooth operation. Very fine dust does blow out from the unit so I'd suggest wearing a dust mask. The brief instructions do not specify the amount of time needed for cleaning. I started with one minute and followed with one minute on the A (AIR ) setting. The carbon was gone but the plug was coated with a fine gray dust from the abrasive media. I removed the plug and blew it out thoroughly with a fine-pointed air nozzle at 110 PSI to remove any remaining grit from the plug well.I took the cleaned, NGK DR8ES-L motorcycle plugs to the workshop for a closer inspection under a powerful, magnifying shop light. This is where is I was disappointed. After polishing the plugs on a brass wire wheel, something still didn't look right.Abrasive silica media had wedged and stuck into the tapered well surrounding the center electrode. I began digging it out with a Xacto Knife. Please look at my uploaded images and note the amount of abrasive media collected from each plug. This destructive grit would do serious damage inside the cylinder wall of an engine.I've always hated removing the gummy carbon and grease that collects on plugs, especially those on two-stroke engines. NGK plugs can be cleaned and reinserted several times times during their life span. I've been doing it for years.I have four, one-owner Honda ATVs that have a total age of 112 years and still run like new.I will continue to use the Sunex Plug Cleaner, but I will carefully inspect, polish and remove all of the black sand that remains jammed into the plug before putting it back into the engine. On automotive engines, I use only new Platinum plugs and change as recommended.Sand belongs on the beach. Two places it doesn't belong is in my shorts and in my spark plugs. In this case, I got both.

Inexpensive quality tool.
I have several exotic cars.To keep them proper tuned, things like spark plugs and other fundamental components need to be set up properly to do their job.I was having trouble with a 302 sbf running rich. The plugs, whilst not fouled, were sooty and needed thorough cleaning.I mounted the cleaner on a block of wood and held it in my bench vise.I connected the air at 90 PSI, rocked the dirty plug(s) around for 30 seconds and used the air only setting to clean the grit out of the electrode cavity. After removing the plug from the cleaner I used an air pistol to ensure no grit remained around the electrode.Clean as a whistle.Did the same operation on the O2 sensor.Going for test run tomorrow.BTW, the rubber plug enclosed with the cleaner is put in the spark plug hole to avoid an avalanche of grit when you are finished.

Works fine
Does what it needed to do. There is a little leakage when cleaning smaller spark plugs; I'll need to affix a smaller orifice when cleaning motorcycle plugs.

I'm a bit torn
Although I truly need and do like this blaster, the power switch is a major hassle. The sand and air are released when you press the button on top. Three things... why in the world is it SO stiff? why is it it located where it is such a hassle to compress? and why does it need to be a button? A lever would seem to make more sense to me. It wouldn't be as difficult to compress as only 1 finger can fit on it. Further, I wonder why it needs to be a momentary switch. A flick on and a flick off would be ideal, especially considering the amount of time it takes to get the plugs completely grime free.Does it work? Yes. Is it as ergonomic and enjoyable to use as it could be? Not really. At least not to me. I won't return it. I may try to mod it a bit, but I am not bothered enough to send it back.

Perfect!
My husband was super pleased with this. We have to clean spark plugs all the time with our old golf cart and this does a great job making it super easy.

Works Great!
I mounted a 2X4 to my garage wall and then mounted this handy unit to the block. I purchased this for a couple reasons. 1. I own a Hemi V8 that requires 16 iridium spark plugs. 2. I use an octane booster that leaves deposits on the plugs, so instead of trying to clean them by hand, or buy new plugs, I use this. It works pretty dang good for sure. Not perfect but close. Don't forget to rotate the plug as it's being cleaned. I have a couple of other Sunex tools that are invaluable to me so that's why I went this brand.

Works great, highly recommended!
Works great! I have several older cars and go through a lot of plugs. This will pay for itself in first year by allowing me to re-use my old plugs several times. The only thing is, my small (2HP 3GAL) compressor can't sustain 120PSI and drops to 60PSI after a few seconds, which is too low. But it's okay, I just wait for it to pump back up, and press the button again. No problem, but if you're getting a compressor just for this, get a bigger one than I have.
