Thanks Dav Pilkey, I bought this for an 8 year old who was behind in reading, and had no interest in even trying to read any books. I personally thought these books seemed ridiculous and wasn’t going to buy them at first. However my son read them at school and really wanted them. So since he wouldn’t read anything else I figured what do I have to loose. Turned out this was the best investment I could make! He has been reading dog man for a few months now and has progressed farther then I could’ve ever imagined. He loves these books and could hardly read them 8 months ago. But he would look at the pictures and flip through the books everyday and try to read them the best he could. Now he still reads them everyday and gets most of the words and still loves to reread them over and over! Thank you for these dog man series! I recommend them to anyone! My 6 year old daughter is starting to enjoy them as well! The craziness of these books makes my children find them hilarious and want to keep reading more! The Dog Man books are a must have and have added a fun level of reading to a child whom did not want to read anything before.
