Do the small mouth rings fit on standard size ball mason jars?

Small mouth and regular mouth are the same thing, so yes the small mouth fit on standard size jars, not widemouth

Do these bands work on ball mason jars?

I had to return them. They did not work on any brand of mason jar I own (ball, Kerr, atlas). I was very disappointed.

What kind of lids must be used? I am interested in the plastic ones, not the traditional "one time use" lids. Would they work?

They will work with any lid that fits the mason jar.

I use these with my mason bottle accessories all the time. They work well with the silicone lids especially when using them on glass jars (and not their silicone toddler cup).
