PentaxSp 20X60 Wp Bak-4 Porro Binoculars (195mm, 224mm, 85mm, 1.4kg) - Black

Bought Pantex 20x60 on Puja sale at approx 17000 INR.Previously I was using Celestron 10x50. Reasons of buying this one are first my old one was getting worse and secondly I wanted to buy a fogproof binocular with heavy power. After researching for sometime I have found Pantex binoculars. Pantex is a reputed company for its quality optics. For 20x60 size, I don't feel its very heavy. Using tripod is better for any binocular. With crisp quality image I must say lens quality is very good. Though there is a very little bit chromatic aberration occurs with very bright objects, but negotiable. Due to its exit pupil size at first I had problem with adjustment of my eyes with the image. But it was no an issue with the binocular at all. Body design is very good. It feels good with rubber finishing body. Focus knob is smooth and comes with a focus lock which is very good. Binocular eye width adjustment is a little bit hard. Eyepiece rings are excellent. Rotating them can be made adjustment. But there are only 3 position, original, middle and maximum. So don't use force with them. Otherwise they are smooth. The right eyepiece lens comes with a diaptor adjustment ring. So we can adjust right/ left eyepiece ring. This one comes with nitrogen filling and so its waterproof and fogproof but I can not check them unless untill going into some hill area. Now about the package. This one comes with one Neck strap, 2 covers for front lenses and one single big cover for both rare lenses. Neck strap is easy to attach. All of this comes with a binocular pouch. Pouch is good but don't have heavy protection. But still good. Before buying I read many reviews and many makes complaint about falling of the eyecaps. Its true they don't sticks hardly with the lenses. But is not an issue with me. I was expecting a heavy and good packaging with bubble wrap for safe delivery but the packing was simple hard paper packing. At least seller must deliver theses type of items with much safe packaging. Amazon delivery was amazing.

Great scopes. Some may find hard to hold and focus but I do not. I use with a tripod and without. Shaky with hands if you do not brace your arms in tight and place your thumbs and index fingers on your cheeks. This will steady it considerably. Does work best with tripod.

The Pentax S-Series is everything We wanted. We can see clearly right across the lake. This way we can now keep a close watch on our grandchildren when they are out in the boats.

premetto che sono un strafelice possessore di un binocolo Zeiss prismi a tetto 8x32 da 25 anni che ritengo pietra di paragone come nitidezza contrasto ecc, avevo bisogno di un binocolo più potente ma senza spendere la stessa cifra dello Zeiss.ho acquistato il pentax 20x60 dopo varie ricerche per il nome e il prezzo ragionevole.non mi aspettavo fosse al livello top ma dopo averlo testato di giorno e nel cielo notturno ho notato una buona meccanica e una sufficiente resa ottica.la nitidezza al centro è buona ma vero i bordi peggiora.soffre di una lievissima aberrazione cromatica,poco evidente ai meno esperti,tenendo conto dell'elevato ingrandimento e del prezzo posso dire di essere soddisfatto.la luna si vede molto bene e si intravedono le lune di giove ma per i pianeti ci vuole un telescopio.osservazione paesaggio è ottimo considerando il prezzo e non potevo pretendere di più.se uno vuole la max nitidezza e prestazioni deve orientarsi su prodotti ben più costosi.dunque valutazione buona complessivamente consigliato a chi vuole restare intorno ai 300 euro

Pentax 20x60 binoculars has very clear image and even u can hold it without steadier!
