Lay the plastic sheet on the perler beads, then a sheet of parchment paper to keep the plastic sheet from melting onto your iron. Do not use the steam setting, your iron does not need to be very hot for the perler beads to fuse together. Experiment with a few to get the setting you need for them to fuse together.

Q: What are clear plastic sheets used for?

Those are ironing paper, you use it for putting it on top of the pearler beads and then iron it. There not plastic. Now, the plastic one are used to put the pearler beads to create the design.
