makes george feel like a real hunter!
The media could not be loaded. george doesn’t care much for this on the end of the wand, but it is his FAVORITE THING EVER alone! he goes insane hunting this (as you can see) and even loves to fetch it, which he only does with his favorite toys!

Nice alternative to feathers
One of my cats is obsessed with feather attachments, the other one prefers this, maybe because he’s not as athletic. I trail it on the ground instead of swinging it in the air like the feathers.

Da gold standard cat prey toy
I've tried many different brands and styles of feathered or fuzzy toys on strings, with many cats. All of them go wild over Da Bird, which has just the right size, weight and density of feathers to fly realistically. The only problem with them, is that cats with claws will invariably catch the "bird" and not let go, biting and kicking it. Of course, that's fun for the cat, but not for the feathers, which will eventually get pulled apart. They're more expensive than the lesser-quality products, but you and your cat definitely get what you pay for.

Okay, I Take Back My Old Review
BEFORE: We were hoping this would be at least half the size of the Da Bird, and be very fluffy. Our cats love the Da Bird products--the rod with the helicoptering feathers is their favorite and they pout when it isn't brought out for playtime. In contrast, this fur attachment was paltry. Though the fur feels more luxurious, it is thinner than hoped. With three adult Main Coon Cats, this will not last long.AFTER:After a week of hard play with three massive Main Coon cats, this toy has been a major hit. Their long time favorite (Da Bird with helicoptering feathers) is now 2nd place. My family and I were at the pet store, and the younger juvenile mice are the exact same size as this toy, probably smaller. The fur on this is more like rabbit fur, so it has more fluff. The only objection is now that such massive killer jaws immediately pulled the "rabbit/mouse" out of its red holder. They're not very good at sharing or "letting go." Luckily, the cord that goes throughout the body of the mouse and up into the red holder is a very thick durable suede-type strap/cord. The thing goes right back in all the way up to the top. Sometime I'll take some non-toxic glue and secure it, but the one time per day when it pops out again is a "you win" moment for the cats. They don't gulp it down, of course, and easily give it up to me. Then it easily swivels and holds back in place again. The more timid ones are attracted to it (as they're not birders...most Maine Coons are mousers instead), and our 22 pounder is now less interested in his bird. They nearly crush each other, fearless, going after this at the same time. We have to shake it and let it rest so the spit dries!Overall, please NEVER stop making this...just make it just a tiny 1/4 in to 1/2 in longer...and make the suede cord more secure for a negligible longer life.A plus toy for us! The softness around their mouths is a huge treat. They nuzzle it a lot when they "win" the mouse away.

Realistic
This is our second "fly" to cat-fish! She loves these more than any of the other toys in her box. Highly recommend if you have a cat that loves to play.
