I will never use silicone again in wet locations
My shower glass door is frameless and the 5 year old clear silicone was leaking water onto the floor. I don't know how many times over the years I've scrapped out nasty moldy old silicone used in baths/showers before reapplying. I used Lexel almond color between my shower pan and wall tile and it still looks new 5 years later with zero mold growth. I didn't know there was a clear version, so I'm only going to use that if I ever need to caulk glass again.People complain that this is difficult to use. Nonsense! Just have a can of naptha solvent to stick your finger into before smoothing off the bead and use painters tape about 1/8" on either side of the corner you wish to caulk. Remove the tape immediately after smoothing the caulk. I think this is easier than silicone, although smellier when curing.

Really difficult to work with, best for discreet locations.
I just installed this product on two of my kitchen sinks, as the previous silicone between the counter and the sink was looking very gross. I was excited about this new product as I do not love silicone. However, I found this product to be extremely difficult to work with. I'll preface this with saying that I have worked with many, many professional grade sealants .. from Vulkem, to NP1, to Solar Seal, and other bituman based roofing caulks. I'm no stranger to caulk that is difficult. When applying a sealant inside, like a kitching or a bathroom, I am very very picky with how it looks. I like a nice crisp line - just filling the joint - with nothing spilling out on the other planes. My experience with Lexel was difficult for 2 reasons .. Yes - it is sticky like silicone .. but I was fully expecting that, and had my cup of mineral spirits and rags on hand. Yet the worst part is that it starts drying/adhering VERY quickly. This makes it very difficult if you are like me and want a nice clean line ..My experience was that you basically only have 1 pass over the caulk to make it look nice. If you try a second time, you'll start pulling up the Lexel that you applied .. Then it becomes a big sticky mess and creates even more work for you. You also need to work in very small sections .. 8-10" at a time. If you wait too long to go back and took, you'll pull it up.How well Lexel works remains to be seen for me, as I just applied it recently. I am however not impressed with the ability to get this sealant into a clean tight line. My project involved a sink/counter joint - not the most visible, so I'm not overly ticked off at the appearance. I was however, hoping to use it in shower/tub/vanity applications as well and now I am re-thinking that. I just do not believe I would be ever able to get looking as crisp as I want it... Despite the experience, the know-how, having mineral spirits and microfiber rags on hand .. Lexel simply does not give you the time to make corrections to the appearance.

Awesome for Mosaic Making.
I use this for my outdoor and indoor mosaic projects. It works wonderfully. I’ve used on terracotta, ceramic, metal, wood and cement. It has never failed me. It’s easy to use and grabs my tiles and broken pottery fairly fast. It dries fully in about 25 hours? Prior to grouting. It doesn’t smell nearly as strong as some of the other caulk/ adhesives. It’s a great product. The price on amazon is fantastic.

Flexible, clear, waterproof
I first bought this because my old minivan’s tail lights’ gaskets had worn out, and I ended up with gallons of water where the rear seat folded into the floor! The gaskets were about $100 each; less them a tube of this sealed them well for under $10.More recently, the people who put a liner in my shower couldn’t seem to seal the liner to the faucet or tub, so I used this. It’s flexible enough that if I bump the liner, it doesn’t come loose. If only the contractors had used it to begin with!
