Beautifully illustrated book but still not enough illustration
Having delved into the trilogy and also experienced the audiobooks, I was captivated when I stumbled upon the illustrated editions, sparking a desire to possess a copy for myself. Consequently, I acquired both Volume 1 and Volume 2. However, upon comparing the two books, it became apparent that Volume 2 had significantly fewer illustrations than Volume 1. While the themes and colors in Volume 1 were stunning, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, I couldn't help but feel disappointed with the lack of illustrations in Volume 2. In Volume 1, there were over 20 beautifully crafted illustrations spanning across the pages, whereas Volume 2 contained a mere 5. As a collector who doesn't mind investing in meaningful pieces, it tempted me to consider completing the trilogy by acquiring all three volumes. Despite my admiration for Chris Wormell's efforts in making Volume 1 so exquisitely beautiful, I must admit that his work in Volume 2 did not quite meet the same standard. As of now, I haven't acquired an illustrated copy of Volume 3, and I find myself uncertain whether I will make the purchase in the future.

Beautiful Edition of Well-Loved Book
The media could not be loaded. Delivered promptly, with only a bit of creasing to the outside jacket. This book is absolutely beautiful, with the stunning art from Chris Wormell pairing nicely with Pullman’s unique world-building. The only negative of this is that there are 2 more illustrated editions that I have to save up for! Love it all, definitely worth the money 😁

Une magnifique édition illustrée en couleurs ! Un vrai bonheur pour les yeux.L'histoire est quand à elle incroyable, un chef d'oeuvre de littérature.

I'm an adult and I loved this book
I have started reading it to my 8 and 6 year old. My 6 year old gets bits and pieces but it really is for my 8 year old. I really enjoyed the story and I hope my 8 year old will love it as much as me however the very beginning is quite heavy for her age. It will be easier to follow later on.The pictures are beautiful. But the story, omg, what a book. I'm on to the second book (borrowed from the library) but I think I am more a fan of the first.
