It's not a powder. It's dried ginger root cut and sifted. I hope that helps.

I use it for tea everyday. You can make it as spicey as you like. I usually cook 5 or 6 Tbs of ginger in 2qts water and mix with hibiscus and or Yerba mate or just by itself with a little water. Depends on the burn I desire! I hope this answer is helpful for you.

I like to store it in a glass mason jar. Any tightly sealed container should keep it fresh.
