Perfect introduction for toddlers into the series
Great introduction book to the lamppost series. I read the books with my mom as a child so I bought this as a gift for my friends kids 2nd birthday. I also got a little beanbag lion to go with. Cute artwork and I read it to my own two year old to see if she would like their own copy and she stayed interested the whole time. Later becoming a Christian in my life it was so neat to compare the story with the story of Jesus. So grateful for CS Lewis work.

Get them reading
Perfect to introduce reading and this wonderful classic story to little ones. About two sentences per page, bring and simple art. My 20 month old enjoys it. The board book format allows her to flip pages without any damage.

This is a class for young people
I read this when it first came out - as a sixth grader. I still have people refer to it. Great book for young people.

Sweet board book version
A sweet little summary of the original story! A great little read aloud version that hopefully inspires young readers to read the original Narnia series as they get older. If you are a fan of the OGs, then this is a fun one to add to your baby’s book collection!

good way to start on this series
while i personally never cared for the series, i knew my 3 year old grandson was ready for a story that has plot and magic and continuity, so when i saw this book i decided to give it a try with my grandson. oh, he loved it! we read it over and over because he wanted to memorize the names and the story line. he loved thinking about what a wardrobe is and that there are secret passages in our world (which was something he had already tuned to in other stories he watches on tv.) the lion captivates him as does the idea of a "family" moving through this adventure together and yet individually. i thought he'd be disappointed with the way the book ends (with a promise of more adventures to come) but he was happy to accept that promise and seemed very content to go back through the book several more times to more closely examine the illustrations. i'll be looking for more board books in this series. does anyone know if that is planned?
