Great brand, but this package has Carrageenan:,
This version of “Lily of the valley” Aloe Vera has carrageenan in it; used as a thickener. Some of the other version by Lily of the valley Aloe Vera don’t have it in. Be careful on this package, because carrageenan is know to cause intestinal damage or inflammation. (Google Carageenan). Their other bottles look near identical but some don’t have carrageenan.

Skincare for sensitive human AND lizard skin!
So, I don't actually use this for food. I use this for skincare. More specifically, lizard skincare.I have a bearded dragon with genetic defect that caused him to be born without scales. Because of this, shedding is an absolute NIGHTMARE and he can potentially lose toes, the end of his tail, or even entire limbs, if I do not take extra care of his skin to prevent stuck shed.Finding something safe & suitable for lizard skincare is..... a huge challenge, to put it lightly. However, this is aloe is it!! Not greasy or thick like lotions I've tried. Also, no risk of oils burning him while he basks under a heat lamp, so I no longer worry about confusing or questionable ingredients!Perfect for encouraging shed and easing discomfort while in shed. After his baths, I dry him off thoroughly, pour some out, warm it between my hands, and massage it into his skin. You can also put some in the bath with them, as well. Then I pop him under his basking lamp, and he's good to go!It's also wonderfully kind to my own skin, too. Had to swipe some after getting a nasty sunburn! Seriously, I was out in the sun for barely 30 minutes, geez. You do have to keep it refrigerated, and it is a LARGE container, so be aware. It also recommends using it within 6 months after opening, so another thing to keep in mind.Either way, I'll be coming back to purchase this over and over again! Wonderful product, fantastic results.Don't know if it works on scaled lizards, but it couldn't hurt. If someone's keen to try it, I'd love to see your review, as well!PS: my dragon's name is Pączek/Pączki.We hope you have a great rest of your day!

BUY IT!
I'm using the aloe gel as a moisturizer for my hair and skin. Shrinks my pores because it's cold from the fridge + the goodness. It tingled at first, but now my skin is used to it and it doesn't tingle anymore--just cool freshness. My hair has been feeling softer and more moisturized. It does have a clean bitter taste if you plan on drinking it. I'd recommend the liquid version because the gel can be hard to get done because of the thick viscosity and the taste. I like to blend it in fruit smoothies. The extra hint of aloe is nice imo.I have a 10 year old mature aloe vera plant, but it's a hassle to go out and cut a leaf, skin it, and store it every time. It also STINKS REALLY BAD. I've gotten used to it. The difference in the texture is that the plant liquid/gel, doesn't seep into the skin as easily as this product, and the plant liquid leaves a gel film on the skin (perfect for masks btw, but wasn't my intention).Overall, I love this stuff. I will be repurchasing this on amazon again once I'm through with the gallon. Also, don't be afraid of the gallon size. If you use this religiously as a toner/moisturizer (I sweep it on thickly and give it time to sink in before either a drop or two of oil or a cream, then sunscreen) for the skin and hair, and drink it, you should be able to finish it quick. I believe the bottle had an expiration date of 2019 or 6 months after it's opened--which ever comes first. I've refilled a 3 oz tube that I keep in the fridge 3 times already and I've only been using it for 5 days. That's almost 2 fl oz a day (not even counting the smoothies I made...hmm I may need to rein back). If you're buying store bought aloe vera gel, you should definitely consider buying this instead. There have been lawsuits against various gel brands that claimed that their gel was 100% aloe vera and lab testing revealed that some had less than 1-5% and others were inconclusive. Yikes! This stuff is a definite staple in my skin/hair/health routine. Try it and you won't be sorry!
