I have sensitive skin and this sunscreen works great. It's not irritating to my skin and goes on smoothly without leaving a residue. It goes on very light and my skin doesn't feel sticky or heavy afterwards. There is a slight coconut scent to this sunscreen but it's not overpowering. My skin hasn't burned while using this sunscreen so I find the protection more than adequate. It's not waterproof so I do reapply after sweating or being in the sun for a prolonged period of time. The sunscreen is not drying so I tend to use this in place of a moisturizer during the day. The squeeze bottle is not very large so using this everyday, I have to replenish it every month.Very happy with the product and will continue to use it throughout the year.

I purchased this because I was looking for a chemical-free daily sunscreen for my face, neck and chest, something light to wear every day under make-up. I really love this product! It has a faint coconut/pineapple type of scent which goes away once you apply it, you don’t smell it at all during the day. It does NOT have a white cast like many other zinc sunscreens. It has a matte finish, not oily or shiny at all, in fact this product would probably be very good for oily skinned people. I wear this over my moisturizer, it’s actually a great primer for make-up/foundation. When I wear this on my face, my make-up stays fresh all day, my face isn’t shiny at the end of the day, that was the first thing I noticed about this product. I will definitely continue to purchase this.

This is a very nice sun screen. I've tried many different mineral sunscreens and so far this comes out on top. It's a bit thicker and requires a bit more rubbing when applying compared to the micronized sunscreen that I've used and liked (EltaMD UV Clear SPF 46), but then Original Sprout isn't micronized, which is a point in it's favor. A few minutes after applying it becomes invisible, leaving no white cast on my skin tone (Fitzpatrick 2-3). It dries quickly to a matte finish, which is another point in it's favor over EltaMD Clear which on my skin retains a slightly shiny finish. Original Sprout sits very lightly and has a very mild scent of coconut which dissipates quickly, two more pluses. I consider the 27 SPF adequate for a normal day around the house, at the office, shopping, and in the car. However, for outside activities like gardening or a long walk I turn to something with a higher SPF.

This is a great sunscreen! I have lived on sunscreen all of my life. My father is a dermatologist and has drilled it into our heads from a young age. I am also dark skinned and don't like to get tanned. I was looking for a natural sunscreen and came across this one. It is fabulous! It is great on the face and is not comedogenic. I tan VERY easily, and this has really prevented my skin from getting darker. It also does not look white on my dark skin which is amazing to me! Thank you Original Sprout for making such a great product. The only minor ( MINOR) negative is that it feels a little heavy, so my skin really sweats when I exercise with it on. I can't say that it is any worse than any other sunscreen though. I Highly recommend this!

The ONLY Sunscreen I have been able to use that doesn't make me break out. No chemicals etc, just sheer zinc oxide, a proven winner. Lovely consistency, can be used with a moisturizer if needed.

I really wanted to like this product. I have sensitive skin and normally use Vanicream Sport SPF 35 on my face and body. That works great, but it is a little thick and so I just wanted to try out another brand. The positives: It smells nice (very subtle scent) and it feels very smooth and lightweight going on, which is pleasant. The negatives: if you sweat at all, it creates a slimy feeling that is pretty off-putting, like it has this subtle layer of slime buildup on your skin. Also, once you DO sweat, it has kind of a weird scent (maybe that's just my body chemistry but I'm not usually a stinky person lol). I'll use up this tube but I most likely will not purchase again.

If you're looking for a waterproof or water-resistant sunscreen, this is not for you. However, if you are looking for an everyday sunscreen that is not greasy or thick, then this is the best one you will ever find. I've gone through so many different brands, especially all the ones that claim to be environmentally friendly, non-nano zinc and free of chemicals, and this is definitely the best one that I've tried (out of Honest, Think Baby, Badger, Babo Botanicals, California Baby, Baby Hampton Beach Bum, Alba etc.). This formula is not greasy and spreads pretty easily and the scent is very mild (has a very faint coconutty smell). It is spf 27, so you have to reapply (as with other higher spfs) if you are exposed to sun for a prolonged time. I would definitely recommend this.

I really like this sunscreen. I use it for my face. I don't like wearing makeup unless I am going somewhere like a date or an event. I am in FL so it really just melts and makes my oily face even more oily. The BB cream I use has sunscreen so I am covered if I am wearing it but if I am not then I need something and I started using this. It is not heavy, oily, or thick. The only knock on it is that I wish it had a higher spf. But for my hands and my face it is perfect in texture. I have to use something else for extended exposure like running or swimming but just for daily use this works great.

Searching for the perfect sunscreen has been an ardous process, I was scared off by all these horrible chemical products containing Avobenzone and Octocrylene and similar kin. Also some of these companies are swindlying you by hiding these under different names like 2-ethylhexanol.If you're wondering why the concern, I'm not a chemiphobe but the CWG has multiple studies that you can freely read that show this stuff leaching into people bodies and mother's breast milk, with god knows what impact, especially given some of these are known carcinogens doesn't sound too pretty.Bare in mind these chemicals are dumped by the ton from skin to sea, perhaps a more prodiminent cause of harm to the oceans then we are fully aware. The physical stuff is reef friendly as this one mentions.These chemical ones, don't offer the same protection as the physical stuff anyway. Zinc Oxide and Titanium Oxide offer full UVA/UVB protection on their own. The chemical slush needs additive grouping for effect, more ingredients, more dilemma.I did try Badger's Clear Zinc (also Zinc Oxide), before this and hated it. I also wasn't aware they used beeswax which sucked. Badger's went on like a thick paste, left loads of white residue and made me feel like a greasy pig. It also caused my acne to flare up, so great!I looked for a vegan brand but most of the top ones are chemical. Kinda doens't make sense why advertise cruelty-free if the chemicals are going to mess up the ocean in the process. Backwards much?This stuff is vegan, physical (Zinc Oxide), reef-friendly, grease-free, minimal ingredient, affordable. It was so much better than the Badger gunk, I put this stuff on and was amazed, unlike Badger's it dissapeared in seconds, no residue, and I couldn't feel this stuff at all. No ACNE too!!! Brilliant.

Bought this to satisfy my recent paranoia about being in the sun as the ingredients seem more natural and all that malarky. I would have preferred Badger but it's a bit pricey so went for this. However, at the time of writing I am yet to have confirmation on whether this contains GMO's. I asked, they replied saying they'd find out and let me know, and no answer from there so now I'm suspicious. It's an American company, product made in the USA, GMO land, so I'd like to know if it's GMO free. If this is important to you then go for Badger as they are certified to be GMO free. However, as the product goes, it's quite good and works very well under make up but on my arms it did create a sticky film for the rest of the day which doesn't remove that easily. We've tried at least 30 sensitive skin and eczema-friendly sun creams, and all of them have flared my daughter's eczema.This is the only sunscreen that doesn't. We buy it on repeat purchase. And, while it's a lot of money for the size, it's completely worth it.- it smells divine- it doesn't leave a white cast- it rubs in quickly- it doesn't feel tacky- it is moisturising- its SPF is completely mineral (10% zinc)- and, most importantly, it actually works for eczema-prone skinI sincerely hope that this product never goes off sale! We reserve it for our eldest daughter to use, but when there's nothing else around, I'll use it on myself too and it feels utterly luxurious.

this is the best zinc oxide sunscreen I've tried because it leaves barely a white film. I want to test it on some sun paper to see how effective it is. It has a decent percentage on zinc in aswell. Unlike coola which only has I think 1-2%! I don't know how that would protect u! But will test this when I can the cream has a lovely smell aswellEditI still use this sunscreen most of the time as my daily sunscreen but then if I know I'm going to be spending more time outside I use another sunscreen that has a higher spf. The other thing is I noticed last time I bought it from amazon the texture felt different it felt harder to put on.. so if you are going to buy it I would get it from the original sprout website the texture when I got it from the website was definitely better

This is not the holy grail of mineral sunscreens unfortunately. It is smooth and silky like body butter, and sinks in beautifully like a day cream, leaving no white cast and no oily residue. It leaves the skin feeling supple and beautifully hydrated. I thought this was PERFECT! Except, when I sent the link to my Dermatologist friend, she said that you need at least 20% zinc oxide to protect from both UVA and UVB. So with a heavy heart, I return to my search for the perfect sun cream, as this product alone is not sufficiently protective.
