Beautiful and USELESS Waste of money (and time)
Do NOT buy this! Any other similar product (check on the photo if there is a lock for the canister)-ok! This - NO! Everything else is with a lock which keeps the gas canister in place so your flame goes on from when you switch it on to when you switch it off-makes sense, right? NOT this model! It is a sleek and stylishly light golden colour-all greet! Takes forever to arrive but still-the looks is worth the wait but ..wait! If you did order something for the way it works not to bring it to a beaty pageant or a museum... Well…that’s one of your (certainly my!) failures! Instead of a mechanical lock to ‘push and keep in place’ the butane canister in place so that the gas flows to the burner, this model has a ‘high tech’ magnetic lock. What you are supposed to do is simply introduce the canister (metal) to the nozzle inlet (after aligning it properly to the C shaped ring) and the magnetic ring around it will click immediately and boom! Close the door, put on and cook! Nooooo NOthing of the sort! You push out the nozzle into the inlet and press (why even?) and…put on the burner-good, working (while you are holding it pushed with your hand!) meaning the canister is ok; the burner (and the thin gas line) is ok but dare you NOT let go off the canister! It pops out and the line is broken! No more flame. You go to You Tube and search and search…you find ladies telling you to keep the canister for sometime close to the ring around the inlet to ‘start attracting’ each other… You try it….but life is looking too short after 35 min….Other videos -push, click, wait….flame makes it feel like hell rose to Earth so after 10 min you give up…. JUST DONT WASTE YOUR money! The magnetic (really??) lock does not work AT all. I did purchase the recommended canister, just fyi. A lot more expensive than what I could buy in the local store-but, hoped it was worth! NO! Why I did not return on the spot-because I am silly pedantic old woman! I ordered the burner and the matched on Amazon plate for the top together. Little I new-the top came 3 months+later! So once I assembled-you know the story now! I should have tried the stove WITHOUT top of course but now I know that trusting is daft!!!!! The money I paid and the time I waited -thrown in the toilette! not even mentioning the 30 slices of Wagyu beef-had all marinated (as well a load of veggies and frozen as I travelled); asked my partner to unfreeze and get all started (just prior my flight landing back so we are all ready for our guests when I showed up at the door-an epic FAIL! Had to buy another, regular, much cheaper burner but shame had already descended on us. Do NOT buy! And anything you do buy-do so only if YOU can try immediately and return if needed!
