Perfect
Translucent sculpey premo is by far my most used clay, and I mix it into other clays to avoid bold colors staining on my hands. Clay arrived swiftly with the correct consistency; slightly firm before conditioning, and easily malleable the more conditioned it becomes.

Updated review
Very hard and crumbly as if it were already partially cured or very old.Update: After returning the bad clay (no hassle), I received a new one in a few days that was in perfect condition. :)

Virtually un-usable
I work with a lot of Sculpey, but this is the first time I've opened a package that is basically un-usable. It was rock solid and when I cut a thin slice off and tried to work it in my hands it just crumbled. I tried adding softener and used most of that softener package on a relatively small piece so it was more softener than actual clay by that point. I then tried a new rock solid piece with liquid Sculpey and worked on that for about an hour before just giving up. My hands are killing me and its not worth it. I wasted so much in other products in trying to rescue this one that I basically doubled the cost of it and it still didn't work well in being translucent in the least (probably because of all the extra product added in). This was such a disappointment. It's almost as if they found this in the dumpster behind a craft store and thought to resell it at full price. Good scam I guess.

Perfect if you know what to expect
Quality of the clay is just like what I get from the local craft store at a much better price. Clay was easy to soften after just a few minutes of working and is perfect for my applications. Second time ordering this item and I have not experienced any hardness, drying, or crumbling. It is easier softer than Fimo, harder than regular Sculpey. This means it takes a little longer to soften up, but holds textural and structural detail much better. I'm a big fan and highly recommend.

My mom loved it
I am not the polymer clay artist in the house, my mom is. I got this for her for Mother's Day and she was thrilled to have a giant block of translucent. She does prefer the white translucent. This product is regular translucent, not too sure what the working difference is since I don't use the products. However she is pleased, she loves the Sculpey Premo line and I will get this for her again.

Great clay, just needs some conditioning and oil to soften.
I was shopping for translucent clay, a lot of them are pretty pricey, but thank god I found this one! If you're a beginner clay crafter I definitely recommend getting your hands on translucent clay because the effect it gives is different from typical clay. I don't buy a bunch of colored clay because I like to mix my own (using oil pastels or even eyeshadow). Mixing color into white clay is A LOT harder than mixing with translucent clay. The only con I can say is the clay was harder to work with than my white one (also Sculpey), it's not as dry as some of the other reviewers' clay though. I just add a little baby oil/vaseline, work it into the clay and voila! I also store it in a ziplock back inside an air tight container so that probably helps too.

Better than Fimo and Sculpey III
Premo is much stiffer than sculpey III and takes more time to condition but, the added plasticizers in Premo makes it a much better end product. It does not break nearly as easily as Sculpey III. It is very strong. The white Premo is also much brighter and whiter compared to Sculpy III white clay. This is also easier to use than Fimo. It doesn't burn as easy. A quick tip when baking in a toaster oven is to bake on a ceramic tile which you line with parchment to prevent a shiny bottom to the clay. This helps prevent the clay from burning. Also tent your project with foil or a pan turned upside down. This will also prevent scorching.

Good price and quality
I love using sculpey premo for my polymer clay keychains and sculptures and this translucent clay was very good. It softened very well after kneading and baked good too. It doesn’t crack while baking if you bake it to the package instructions and looks very nice when baked. It does give a translucent effect when it is baked and it looks really nice when mixed with other color clay to make a mosaic type of pattern. I definitely recommend this product.
