It writes beautifully, the ink flows super easy. I lays perfect in your hand and can take a drop or bump easily. If you have a child who's reluctant to practice penmanship, get this and see how it can transform the attitude. My children aged 7 & 9, seeing how their handwriting can be so stylistic and beautiful while using it, cannot have enough of writing with it, it is encouraging. I bought two, one for my 13 year old girl and one for my 10 year old boy.They are both delighted with the open and it writes beautifully.My daughter is paying more attention to her letter formation and get work is looking much better.The only down side is that the call doesn't fit in the back of the pen and I'm worried they could lose it.Overall a great pen, would also suit those with arthritis or difficulty holding thinner barrels.
