Effective in keeping ducks out of my pool.
I bought this Alligator out of desperation. I had ducks landing in my pool frequently and the mess they made on my sidewalk and in the pool was very upsetting. I blew this Alligator up and placed it in the pool the day I got it and lo and behold, a duck landed but immediately took flight. Not a single duck has landed since. When there is a slight breeze, the alligator looks like he’s on patrol. It really is cute but more than that, it’s effective! Highly recommended.

This alligator is very sturdy. He keeps the critters out of our pool. Kids love him
We were having problems with ducks deciding they wanted to be in our pool. Well, this alligator arrived and we put him in the pool. No more ducks in our pool.

The Free Bird
If you’re looking for a “free bird”, you’ve found it. Shockingly realistic looking and easy to inflate with your lungs. My cat was terrified of it, and was convinced it was going to swoop down and pick him up. Not sure if it’s quite 38” in wingspan but she’s a nice size. Material is thick and the print is high quality.

Where is the air going?
The purpose of this purchase was to keep park ducks out of my swimming pool. For that purpose it works, I've purchased 7 of these over the years. HOWEVER, the air doesn't stay in this inflatable for long. I can't find any "pin hole" that air is seeping out so I'm not sure what the issue is. I eventually toss it out and purchase new ones(keep 2 at a time in pool). They are very realistic, and I've purchased other brands, but they don't scare off the ducks like this one. I'm just getting tired of re-purchasing.

Very small
Extremely disappointed. The description and pictures make this croc appear way larger than it actually is. Less than 47 inches not 49 as described and saying that it’s 76 inches with the tail is falsely advertising this as the tail is curled and not straight so it doesn’t measure that at all. I wanted to put this on the table for my sons bday party, thinking it would take up the entire length but it definitely won’t and I don’t think it would make the impression that I had in mind. Not at all impressive. Skinny, small head, short. I’m disappointed and wish I opened this before instead of the day of his party so that I could look elsewhere for something bigger and more impressive.I have to change my review to 5 stars. Even though this wasn’t the size I expected, I’ve had it outside in my koi pond for 3 months and it hasn’t needed more air since. I’m extremely impressed by the quality. I wish it were bigger, but it’s really great quality and I think I’m going to order another one!

Great Purchase!
It's very realistic looking floating around in our pool. So far it has kept raccoons and other animals away!

Realistic, but has problems.
I bought this as an inflatable to put on our pool to keep the ducks from landing. It is very realistic, looking, however, it is much smaller than anticipated. There’s also no hook or way to attach a tether to it so it doesn’t blow off your pool. I had to tie a small rope around the tail or one of the arms and secure that to my pool to keep it from blowing off 20 times a day. The percentage of ducks landing on the pool did decrease, so that’s the great news!

Ducks not fooled for long.
We live near a golf course with lots of ponds and lots of ducks. Mostly mallards and muscovy ducks. Several mallards have found that our condo's pool is safe and attractive. They poop in the pool and are not afraid of people. The inflatable alligator is large enough and is fairly realistic. Upon introducing the gator into the pool, the two ducks swam away and got out of the pool. Within 5 minutes they re-entered the pool at the opposite end to where the gator had drifted. The ducks spent the night in the pool with the inflatable gator. Next morning they were approaching it and pecking at it. Fail. I am jealous of those here who had success in scaring the ducks away.
