Bulk Supplements is a fantastic company offering nothing more than the advertised products; no fillers, no additives, etc. It is simply what is advertised and in my opinion that is a quality product at very reasonable prices. A simple search to compare against similar products will provide evidence of that.CLA is definitely a debated supplement as to its effectiveness. I am an over-forty male who is very active, in shape, and body fat less than 15%. I tried this product at the advice of a friend who has a body type similar to mine and is a few years younger than I. My goal wasn't necessarily to try a magic pill to lose weight, but to determine for myself whether the claims that CLA can provide increased metabolic rate and aid in muscle development, in addition to the claims of fat reduction.Most CLA is derived from cattle, particularly milk fat. But due to the reduction of grass-feeding methods, among other things, the amount of CLA in cattle-derived products has declined and thus most people are lacking in CLA consumption.My experience in the few weeks of using CLA has been mostly a positive experience. I have noticed a reduction in body fat without changing my exercise regime or my diet (which still needs to be improved). It seems as though my digestion has improved thus cleaning out my system and apparently reducing my fat retention. My workouts seem to have improved only slightly, if at all, in terms of my energy levels and muscle function and gains. I do seem a bit more fatigued in the early afternoon after a standard 1.5-2 hr. morning workout. But I also seem to sleep better as a result.I believe consuming CLA has been an overall benefit for me. Like with most supplements, everybody will have different reactions and results.As far as Bulk Supplements is concerned, my experience has been quality products at the best prices I have found. Money is not wasted to enhance the products with taste or color. If you are looking for taste and color then stick to soda and candy. I find no deceit by adding a bunch of worthless or harmful crap to reduce the amount of the described product sold to the consumer. And there is definitely no money wasted on fancy packaging. As a result of the previous statements, Bulk Supplements gave me a great product and also gave me the savings.

Have had great success with CLA in the past, but cost is normally prohibitive and results depend on long-term use.14 years ago, I was managing a famous chain retail "nutrition" store, and being a freshly graduated college student with my handy-dandy Bachelor's in complementary medicine in hand, I dedicated countless hours to studying and learning about any supplements in that store that I wasn't already familiar with. This paid off for me, in many ways: I became the go-to girl for other managers in the region, getting calls all the time for off-the-wall requests or in-depth information requests that customers at other stores had presented them with; eventually, my store gained a reputation for being the store to go to where you would NOT get pressured to buy something you didn't want, nor would you get false or misleading information about any product; The chain of command noticed, and I received raises and promotions faster than any other manager anyone had heard about - and the extra responsibilities that go along with raises; and most important for long term gain, I learned a LOT about what works and what doesn't when it comes to weight (loss or gain). At that time, I was so impressed with the research just coming to light about this fatty acid pretty much absent from modern American diets, and posited as the main reason obesity rates have risen so drastically since the Industrial Revolution and the beginning of the modern era. The more I read, the more I was eager to try it for myself - I had given up ever being thin again, I had tried just about everything under the sun (from unassisted starvation to prescriptions that should have never been FDA approved to fad diets to anything else anyone ever swore worked) all to no avail... I couldn't (and still can't) even lose a single pound even with horrible stomach flus that last a week... My body likes this weight for some reason and is more stubborn than even my mind.But I tried CLA, and reading scientific reports regarding the absolute lack of results, regardless of dosage or any other variable, until after at least 6 weeks of daily supplementation, I knew that this EFA, if it did indeed ever work, was going to cost me a pretty penny before I even had a chance of finding out. But I committed, and to my delight, after 6 weeks of diligently taking the dosage most commonly recommended for my weight and seeing no difference, between week 6 and week 5 I lost an entire pants size, seemingly overnight.As fate would have it, just after week 7 I severed the AC ligament in my knee, and was misdiagnosed and therefore given the wrong treatment (bed-rest) for that injury. After spending everything I had saved on a TCM (traditional Chinese Medicine) doctor, and not being able to work for an extended period of time, I had to discontinue the CLA once the bottle I had ran out. I always knew I would try again when I could afford it, but life has a funny way of laughing at you when you say "when I can afford it".So, it's been 13 years, of always having that hope in the back of my mind that when I could afford it, CLA might actually work again for me, and for longer if the stars aligned just right and the wind blew from the right direction...I saw this brand while looking for something else, and saw the price for so many, and decided that if it meant ramen for a week or 2 a month, then so be it, I would sacrifice to get these.Have just been taking them for 2 days, so will have to edit this review once I get to the 6 week mark and beyond, but wanted to share an observation that may be typical of this brand, or may be just a one-time thing with the batch I got... The gel-caps are stiff and dry. I have never used any product in a gel-cap where they had this texture. It makes them just slightly more difficult to get down - have to leave them in mouth with fluid for about 10 seconds to lubricate them before being able to get them down, and this isn't usual for me.Hopefully that small issue with the texture (quality? thickness?) of the gel-caps used is not an indication of the efficacy of the oil inside, as the price is simply unbeatable, especially for a product I already sure will be repurchased.

Full disclosure: I've only just begun to take this supplement and am reviewing in exchange for a sample of another product. I'll comment on what I see so far, nothing more, nothing less.PackagingAs with their other products, it comes in a thick silver colored plastic pouch with a resealable Ziploc-style top. The packaging is rather simple, but it does the job and feel it protects the product well enough. The label is very simple, and I don't mind that.ShippingThe product arrived quickly and with no damage.QualityThe capsules are the same size and shape of the average fish oil supplement. I gave it a sniff just to see if there was any detectable odor, and there wasn't. I haven't broken the capsules, I just swallow them 2 at a time. All of the capsules appear to be intact, with a light yellow tint to them, and none of them seem to have any cloudy debris in them so far. I find them easy to swallow, with virtually no flavor. What little flavor there is, is very mild and unobtrusive.EffectsI'm taking 6 capsules a day, 2 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon, and 2 in the evening. I try to take them at least 3 hours or more before I go to sleep. I haven't noticed any difference in my energy levels, and a very slight decrease in my stomach fat in the week and a half that I've been faithfully supplementing with CLA. This may also be attributed to the 1,000 mg of Acetyl L-Carnitine (Jarrow) that I take with it (500 mg in the morning, 500 mg in the afternoon). I'm not disappointed with it, but also realize that to get the most from it I will need to exercise on a regular basis. For now I get light exercise 2-3 times a week, and I don't notice much difference.PriceI paid $19.96 for it, and feel it's a tremendously good deal compared to other vendors. If anything, it's not an expensive trial for me to run and even if it does nothing for me I didn't waste a lot of money in the end. I've seen almost half of this quantity selling for over 2 times as much in a health food store I once worked at. It's no wonder those products never moved off the shelf (and there were tons in back stock that were doomed to expire).Closing ThoughtsIt's cost effective, but too early to tell if it does anything for me. I'm reviewing it in exchange for a sample of another product, so I'll update this review once I've had more time with the product. If it does nothing, I'll change this from a 4 star review down to a 3 (which I consider neutral). If the effects ramp up I'll consider changing my review to a 5. OK So I feel strange that my first Amazon review here is for a product most people have a love/hate relationship with and indeed with all the reviews that exist on this website that are both obvious plants and or just plain plagiarized copy/pastes of other products I can understand the confusion people can have (especially when reviews of supplements are so inconsistent) however I can safely say that I am not a plant, how can I prove this? KANYE WEST IS NOT JESUS!!!!!!! OK are you all satisfied?I'm kidding we all know Kanye is Jesus......Anyway..........CLA has been either universally panned (or praised) as an expensive placebo or a miracle fat fighting drug and honestly after taking this stuff while exercising and dieting I might add I do notice a bit of an difference, I could share a pic of my chest and stomach to prove it but quite frankly I am not that vain and frankly not that attractive soo lets drop that shall we? However if you want to see some results you have to take at least six! of these bad boys to make some gains and get some results which is why this deal here offered by Bulks Supplements(yay a plug!!!) is hands down the best deal for CLA on this planet for 24-26 dollars you get 300 Softgels!! Which is unreal! At Walmart for example you would pay nearly fourteen dollars for what 90 pills??? RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!
