MRE (Meals Ready-to-Eat) Genuine US Military Surplus with Menu Selections, 01 Chili w/Beans

I bought the Chili and Red Bean meal and I have to say that it was spectacular! For what it is, I was very very happy with the product.-Mine came with Lemon-Lime powdered drink, which was tasty and not overly-sweet.-The chili (of course) had great flavor, a nice spice, and was very filling.-There was also corn bread that was soft and dense--I'd say comparable in flavor to cornbread from Boston Market.-Another side that came with it was vegetable crackers with cheese spread, something I was hoping to get with mine and it didn't disappoint.-Dessert was a brownie with amazing texture and a flavor that I don't think I've experience in a brownie because it had hints of something like nutmeg or cinnamon or some such secret ingredient.The only-est little complaint would be that I don't think my heater bag worked quite right, but that could have been my lack of understanding how to optimally use it. The chili was a bit lukewarm, but it really didn't take away from the enjoyment!I was completely full by the end and even had trouble finishing (but I did because it was that tasty).Overall, it was money well spent and I plan on ordering other dishes with much anticipation for what kind of sides I get with it, since that's half the fun!

Thanks to YouTube, my nephew has developed a fascination for MREs. I was so pleased to be able to surprise him with one during a recent visit. While these MREs are not intended for civilian use, my nephew loved being able to eat his military meal . . . and really enjoyed the experience. The food was all completely edible and the package provides everything you need except for water. I am going to purchase a few to keep on hand for disaster coverage . . . and think everyone else should as well.

This is a great MRE! Everything arrived on time and this seller is really nice, I will be buying from them again. Highly recommend buying the Chili with Macroni one it was delicious!!!!!! Thank you again!

The price wasn't that great, but for a real military mre I thought I would give it a try. I was disappointed that it was manufactured in feb. 2013. It was 3 years old. It seemed to have been stored decently though. The food was good and it had the toilet paper, matches and gum that you don't see in commercial MREs. I gave it three stars just because the food was good, but can't give it more because of the price and age of the MRE. Hope this helps anyone else looking to buy this.

I ordered 3 MREs at a time, and I got Asian Beef Strips, one I can't think of the name and this one I liked the most. All of them were from 2015 which is good because of the 5.5 Shelf life MREs have, so everything was still fresh and delicious. However this one, Menu 1, Chilli w/ Beans, was by far the best. I'll defiantly get this one again!

the bread that came with the meal had mold on it and the drink mix was all over everthing. the package looked like someone stepped on it it was smashed down. since there was mold i threw away the whole package will never buy again

This MRE was an experience. I got Menu 1 Chili with Beans and that was the best chili I've ever had. The cheese spread was a bit strong tasting for me but that's not gonna change how i see the rest of the meal. All in all, it was a great tasting and complete meal
