Is this suitable for canning low acid foods like meat and green beans?

I have had one of these units for several years now and I now can more now than I ever did with my All American Canner. Those that say that you can't use this for low acid foods are wrong. This unit does not function like say an instant pot that does not vent until the unit is finished. This unit has a 10 pound weight and a 15 pound weight just like a manual canner. I constantly vents steam during the entire process to keep the correct pressure (just like a standard manual canner) Can this unit be used to can meat safely? Yes, it can, That's pretty much the only thing I can is meat and stews. I love this unit, and am thinking of buying a second one so I can do 8 quarts at a time.

You can do 4 wide mouth quarts at once.

do you have to use wide mouth jars in this canner?

You can use regular mouth quart jars for pressure canning. They fit perfectly. I’ve been using them for several years. The issue is, according to the company, that never tested the device using regular mouth quart jars. They don’t interfere at all with the lid no matter how they are placed into the canner.

Can this cooker hold a 1/2 gal jar (64oz or 4 pint jar)?

This canner will only hold 1/2 pint, pint and quart jars.
