These are a must have!! If your car seat or high car doesn’t have shoulder pads, GET THESE! My daughters high car and car seat straps would dig into her skin and leave red marks so we got these and i do not regret it. They are super soft and easy to put on. I don’t remember if they had an odor before I washed them but to be honest you should be washing everything you just bought so even if it had an odor, it would be washed anyways. I got the smallest ones for my 6 month old and they are the perfect size. They are somewhat thick but it doesn’t concern me or make my daughter uncomfortable. It actually helps when she falls asleep in her car seat, it keeps her head up and not leaning to the sides. At first I wasn’t sure about them because they could slide up and down the straps but once they are placed where you put them, they stay. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

These padded covers are very soft and easy to attach to the car seat straps. However, they didn't work for my newborn. There's not a lot of car seat strap to work with when you have a newborn, so because these covers are so thick I couldn't put these on and tighten the straps tight enough on my newborn. I'm still keeping them because they will be useful once my baby gets a little bit bigger and there is more strap to work with, and they are really soft and will keep my baby from getting those dang lines on his neck from the seat belt. Just have to wait for him to get a little bigger for them to be useful.

My son hated his car seat until I found these! They are really soft and so easy to clean. I just wipe them down with Clorox wipes. My son is now almost 5 months old and loves his car seat . They are thin and not too bulky, they also don’t make him hot. He can nap in his car seat and feel cozy.

These are very soft and a good quality but will not work for a newborn. They're thicker than I imagined and a memory foam material so they push in to my newborns neck and could be dangerous. If you're wanting a thin material just to keep the straps from digging into your baby's neck this isn't it. If you have an older baby it may work better!

These are so narrow that I can barely get 2 fingers width inside. Did not fit on straps of car seat and probably would not fit on straps of any car seat. I had to return.
