Kryptonite Evolution Mini Integrated 10mm Chain Bicycle Lock

Just to provide a counterpoint to the person who said the mini version is "too mini" - as long as you know what you're getting into it's fine. The product description clearly states it's 55cm in length, so really it offers about the same utility as a typical u lock. I can lock the frame and rear wheel to a standard "Sheffield" bike stand quite easily, and normally I can fit one of the pedal cranks in too. Sometimes it's actually better than a u lock - e.g. the flexibility means I can lock the top tube to some lampposts that my u lock (Abus Granit 540) is too narrow for. The shorter length of course helps keep the weight to a reasonable level. For me it's exactly the right size. You shouldn't leave a bad review just because you didn't know what you were buying!

Bought the Mini Version for use at work (secure, low risk site with its own bike shelters). Yes it's secure and will wrap around a seat post - although I leave mine at work locked to the bike tether point. However the Mini version is very short, so be warned. It'll just about reach around the frame, rear wheel and securing post. And I mean 'just'! So anything thicker like a lamp post or a railing where you can't get your bike right up to the post, forget it! So for most people, the Mini version will be too small. For me though, at my work - locked where I have it: it's fine.See my photos to see what I mean.

I purchased the mini version because in the pictures it seems still usable, but it's way to small. You are unlikely to be able to properly lock your bicycle to the 90% of the places you usually lock it with it, so I returned it. I have seen other customers found the same issue, so I think Amazon should update the pictures for the mini version that are actually of the longer one.

I bought this product thinking it was the product shown in the image- sadly to my dispair, its only half the size. Yes, I am aware that I should've checked the item specs however, it doesnt take away from the fact that the lock shown in the image is clearly not the one being sold. The image is obviously the first thing people will look at and will purchase based on what they see. This is false advertising and it should really be fixed.

Kryptonite is a well known brand, I needed something trust worthy and reliable and the product defiantly lives up to the name! would've like a little more length, I'm sure there are products available however needed to keep within a budget!
