Jesmonite AC300 Non Toxic Water Based Resin for Casting & Laminating 3.5kg Kit

As with most of my reviews I’ll break it into parts.Delivery Packaging and Product so if only interested in product info skip to last paragraph. (Occasionally if customer service was needed there is an extra section).Delivery with this product took a little longer than I’m used to with Amazon as I’m so used to next day delivery! In saying that this was still quick. Arriving within the week. I think I bought on the Tuesday and was with me buy the Friday via DPD one hour slot allocated on morning of delivery.Packing was good, items arrived without damage with a large amount of packing foam “bits” please note if you have children and don’t want these across your house then definitely open away from children! :) although it did keep them busy playing with them for a while. I will note it was not obvious if these particular packing foam pieces were biodegradable or not and I couldn’t see anything to advise of this so they went in the bin. Usually the ones that are starch made go in the compost so would be nice to use environmentally friendly options. Still, in short, packaged well with no damage.As for the Jesmonite. It arrives in two containers with a powder and an activator. (This review is not a how to so please follow the instructions on the product packaging.)On the ratio advised you simply mix the two together and using optional pigments etc you pour the mixture into silicone moulds (pigments and mould not included with this purchase) the mixture gets hot and then sets very quickly, within 30 mins or so.I believe and I’m not an expert the the AC100 is slightly more robust the this one AC300 so I will be trying that one next time. It is also non toxic so suitable for young adults (with supervision of course)Due to its quick setting time you do have to move fast but really this is part of the joy of it. You can have a finished piece within an hour and if your impatient like me it’s super rewarding and I’m sure that the whole family will be getting Jesmonite pieces this Xmas!I’m not sure exactly how many pieces this set will complete but 3 mini candle holders used about 110ml of the liquid if that’s any help.If you like crafting I really recommend Jesmonite. I’m looking forward to lots more creations with it.

The advertisement was misleading.I was then charged £7 for returning this. This was not made aware to me as I could have used my own shipping.

I was very pleased with the coasters I made from this stuff.
