The book is certainly visually appealing. However, it is mostly interviews with influencers and other professionals. I found the info that was provided in each of the interviews to be conflicting. I'm also one for more natural beauty and don't use conventional products with harsh chemicals, so if you are like me, I'm not sure how helpful it will be. A few good takeaways though...

I first saw this book in person at a cafe along with some other best sellers! I thought it was a cute book and I figured it would be cheaper on amazon- And it was! Anyway, I Love this book! It’s such a cute decor piece and it’s fun to flip through! I keep it in my Beauty room on the shelf. Also, It mentions all latest beauty trends, treatments etc. It’s great for beauty/ skin inspo. Or gain some knowledge on a brand or a product.

This book is a MUST HAVE! Whether you are fans of the skinny confidential podcast and know who Lauryn is or not…. I still strongly recommend ANYONE WHO LOVES BEAUTY TIPS, TRICKS, RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS….BUY THIS BOOK! There are over 100 celebs and beauty gurus that share their secrets and all of them are in this book! Whether you're interested in looking through this book randomly, just skimming, or going to the book and using it as kind of a go to guide on whatever your specific concern is, or you just want to read from front to back! You can use it in all these ways! That’s why I refer to it as “The Beauty Bible” it’s just an all around resource no matter what your looking to do, and let me tell you LAURYN DELIVERS ON GETTING THE CELEBS BEAUTY SECRETS AND ROUTINES! Its something you will constantly find yourself going back to for more information and it is also a great coffee table book as well! It looks so chic, but it starts conversation too!!! The day it came out I bought it for myself, my best friend and my medical esthetician! All three of us love it! 🚫☀️🕶👒🧢💋💄🧖🏼‍♀️🧊🛼🧼🧴🪒💗🖤🤍

Overall, I enjoyed this book, but I wouldn’t get it again, let alone spend over $20 on it. It came with some ink marks all over the pages, and I tried to wipe one off on one of the first pages without realizing it was ink all over the book; when I wiped my finger across the page, the pink color of the page literally wiped off. The pages were very cheaply finished. This was annoying, but not a huge deal.I found the whole premise of the book very interesting. A lot of the information contradicts itself, which can be confusing for someone who doesn’t know much about skincare and is using this book as a way to learn information and actually better their skin. When one person suggests one thing, another person strongly advises against it, and that’s a theme throughout the book. Overall, there was a lot of dangerous advice given (coming from someone who’s been studying skincare research for years- don’t dermaroll at home, put oil on last in your routine, don’t rely on only SPF in a moisturizer, don’t DIY unless you’re a professional chemist, don’t use makeup wipes, don’t put toothpaste on your face, don’t put lemon on your face omg) that could be damaging to someone who doesn’t know about skincare and takes this advice. Some of this advice is shot down by “experts” throughout the book, but again, that can be very confusing. I don’t understand the idea of having someone give poor advice in your skincare book that’s not advised by professionals just for the sake of having an influencer in your book. If we limited the number of influencers who just repeated the same TikTok skincare trends over and over, the book could’ve been cut in half. Aside from the advice itself, the way the information was presented just seemed very sloppy and rushed.

I just love Lauren and Michael and all the ways they have helped my life improve for the better!! This book is just another example!:)
